He has been attending classes, team meetings, and workouts over this period. Ferreli, who was set to make 800k from Clemson, was originally offered 7 figures from Pete Golding personally on the final day of the portal. He laughed at this offer and reported the tampering to Clemson, sending them proof of the texts. After being confronted personally by Clemson, Rebels HC Pete Golding doubled the offer to $2m+. Clemson still thought they were in good standing with Ferreli based on what he’d told them, until they could not get in touch with him. Expect lawsuits from Clemson against Ferreli and Ole Miss to follow, along with athletic directors attempting to put an end to the craziness that these schools have to deal with now. It’s clear that recruits are using Clemson’s selectivity against it. A commitment to Clemson, for some, is a chance to set a baseline price for others to exceed. If you decide not to play that game, you absolutely *must* portal hard. I’d rather overpay for adults than teenagers.
