@CrossCountryUK Just highlights that you haven't, you dont have any reasonable argument why your trains are specifically so expensive just blaming regulations. I think you should really work on your explanation of processes you have contradicted yourself multiple times and your customer service

@maddyjones88 I think we're just going round and round in circles here. I've explained the reasons behind the fare differences several times now so I'm going to leave it there. Happy travels. ^RM

@CrossCountryUK almost 3 times the price for the difference of 20 minutes and they are all off peak, absolutely insane and still no justification from @CrossCountryUK quick and speedy response, yet I am still waiting from yesterday at 630 and have sent 3 tweets.

@CrossCountryUK wow, so instead of preaching the benefits of your services you decide to tell paying customers to use other services, what great customer service and pr you provide. if the off peak fares have increased then cross country must of been higher to begin with.

@maddyjones88 *We* haven't raised the Off-Peak fares - it's not our choice. The DfT raises them as they are regulated. As I say, there are plenty of trains and operators every hour that travel Leeds-York - more than many routes, nobody forces folk to use ours if they don't want to. ^RM

@CrossCountryUK so your initial statement was false you have raised them, why would you say raising is out of spite is out of greed, you are far more expensive than any other train for a 25 minute journey, your taking advantage of people that have no other option.

@maddyjones88 All regulated fares went up in January, as the media delighted in telling everybody. As I said, we offer the normal DfT fare. Those fares are regulated and priced by the DfT, we didn't raise them ourselves out of spite. ^RM
