How does one become an innovator; the renaissance man trapped within refuses to be silenced. So I combined everything - chaos, loss, reinvention; into a true, undeniable body of art. > scholarship to USA for basketball at Top 5 CA High School > Graduated HS at 16yo > Broke my leg (thought I’d never walk again) > Applied to Cambridge, got in, declined the offer > recovered from injury and went to go play pro overseas > 5 offers from D1 colleges, NCAA ruled ineligible due to pro status lol > left sports behind > traded crypto, made a fortune then lost it all > Enrolled in top 10 London university for neuroscience > dropped out after a few months > made another fortune in crypto, lost it again > wrote a book (1 copy exists) > went back to go play pro in Asia > back to Europe, back to university > got my bachelors in 14 months !! (didn’t tell anyone) > made another fortune trading crypto, lost it all > hit the lowest place in my life > fast forward 6 months and I’m a 2x founder > innovating sports tech and AI infra for modern firms Oh yea. I’m only 23. And I’m just getting started.

real problems usually arise from the absence of suffering. in the same way that suffering sharpens the nervous system and makes one highly "alert", comfort is its evil twin sister that seduces you into bed and is gone by the morning. it's oxymoronic that comfort would numb you. or that avoiding conflict and hardship increases the likelihood that you will break. yes, life itself is an infinite paradox. and if we take that as a premise, it is then the strenuous states that fuel the indomitable human spirit. all of the juice is in the becoming, not before or after. we live in an autopilot epidemic, which is really just a collective avoidance of pain, but to walk the opposite direction, and smile as you walk into the fire, you'll find that the plunder is just a byproduct of the pain. godspeed.

Learn to love the journey. If you genuinely feel like shit all the time, you are not going to last. If you want to last in doing anything hard, you need to learn to love it. It just means learning to have fun chewing glass. And if you’re not going to last, don’t even start.

One of the hardest parts of being a startup founder: You wake up exhausted, stressed, full of doubt. Then you put on a smile and pretend: – The company’s fine – You have a plan – You’re not breaking down Your team, customers, and investors all count on you. It’s lonely.

Empathy Over Judgment I choose empathy over judgment because I don’t know everyone’s full story. What people show on the outside is only a small part of what they are going through. So instead of quickly assuming or criticizing, I try to understand first. Because everyone is fighting battles that are not always visible. And understanding creates more peace than judgment ever will.

suffering is unavoidable. no way around it whatsoever. "but isn't that a terrible thing?" quite the contrary, my friend. suppose pain is the heuristic for suffering, of course it will be terrible. but it doesn't have to be that way as the avenue to circumvent that heuristic is to simply choose to approach it differently. the suffering is inevitable, it will come, along with all the negative and untrustworthy emotions/thoughts that valiantly accompany it. but to choose to enjoy it... is where real alchemy begins. take the painful act of training for example: strained limbs, the vascular system under much load, the mind begging for it to cease, but yet you smile, laugh even, because the task or burden doesn't end simply due to voluntary concession; the suffering ends when it ends, as we are involuntary participants. and to find joy in that is truly special, as it transforms the entire human experience. from the first time, until the very end. further, for the bold one that goes a step further to choose his own hardships, as to double-circumvent involuntary suffering, is walking in and out of the fire unscathed, learning the temperature, unaffected by the tumultuous events of this existence. heuristics are solely ours to engineer. keep tinkering. godspeed.

you need to start posting on X. every day, just post at least once. i grew 25k followers, bootstrapped products to 50k/mo, shipped hardware, closed fundraising rounds, made lifelong friends. all from just posting into the void. put yourself out there. you won't regret it.

@sidrelll beautiful things surface when you are both the sculptor and the sculpted. one sees and builds, the other feels and responds. a harmonic symphony ripples around the premises until the curtains come down, and the auditorium empties.

optimism & paranoia are both load bearing. not opposites. inputs. optimism makes you attempt anything. without it you're performing caution instead of building. paranoia makes you find what's actually wrong. problems surfaced before they compound. the optimist ships. the paranoid discovers. you need both in play or you're either stalled or lost.

London has world-class founders and operators. NYC and SF run events for them constantly. We don’t. I’m changing that in June. Hosting a proper one for London founders & operators. Real builders. Who’s in? Tag the operator who needs to be in the room. Time to londonmaxx.

there's something deeply potent about our modern renaissance that jolted my thinking while reading machiavelli: our ancestors are thoroughly jealous because we live in a first world country during an AI renaissance, where one could literally materialize a thought in 5 mins and charge someone $$$$$$$$$. even 100 years ago, if you lost everything, it’d take at least a few years, perhaps a decade to get back on the horse. yet we live in a time where you can deploy platoons and re-erect an entire dynasty overnight. and still, it seems non-obvious -- which is bizarre, at least for the ones that are AI-fluent and somewhat near the bleeding edge of this renaissance, which apparently is a small slice of the population. but if we desire to venture into these matters more thoroughly, we should consider the ones erecting empires "overnight", and if they are to use prayers or can they use force? in the first instance its quite clear that they always succeed poorly, but when they that rely on themselves and use force, then they are seldom in danger. ergo "it is that all armed prophets have conquered, and the unarmed ones have been destroyed"; machiavelli writes. godspeed.
