@calnthoughts You're right, but historically adulthood started much, much earlier.
Most people in the west start their actual adult lives around 23yo.
A 23 year old in the past has already been meaningfully interacting with the real world for 7+ years.

seeing animators comment on how much longer it takes to get any positions in the industry, it just strikes me how most wars in medieval history were waged by early 20s ppl. the young are being refused the responsibility they need to contribute to the world.
I think the only answer is to make stuff outside the system

There is too much dark energy coming out in movies.
You can tell me these horror movies, often torture porn, are cheap to make. Which contributes. But it’s the market for this stuff that is disturbing.
Even if cheap, few would be made of not for demand.
It’s a problem.

On the right is 605 lbs in June 2013, my first time ever doing 600
Between the two pictures I trained almost exclusively basic barbell lifts and chin-ups. And as you can see, zero hyper-trophies were achieved.

@Howlingmutant0 I’d challenge that. I think horror is the most political genre there is. I watch things that challenge me but I don’t come out the other end of a film believing that racism, sexism, capitalism etc are correct beliefs to have?

You simply cannot be a horror fan and then still hold racist, misogynistic, transphobic, religiously conservatist or anti socialist views.
The two aren’t compatible.
