@facelessDumbass @theangelpool i must be missing the part where she said this.

You are doing the "woke terf" rhetoric by saying the same things they do about not modifying your body but framing yourself as doing it out of some kind of radical validity

it is deeply saddening that the “woke terf” rhetoric has plagued the online trans community so much to where they no longer believe in loving their own bodies
English

@Dumbtwitxoxo @bbfeebeee ah yes. sweep the intentional irresponsible rhetorical framing under the rug and refocus it to be about my feelings just bc im criticizing it
English

@mae3380 @bbfeebeee Well for one you’re saying this article is problematic, when it does a decent job explaining the differences. I understand if even seeing a comparison between cross dressing and trans hurts your feelings, but the confusion already exists, and here’s an article clearing it up.
English

@Dumbtwitxoxo @bbfeebeee when did i ever give off the "it's not my job to educate you"? the answers are out there. *people don't listen.* that's just profoundly NOT my problem
English

@mae3380 @bbfeebeee It’s frustrating I know, but it’s something the unwashed masses genuinely don’t understand. We need to move past the “it’s not my job to educate you” mentality and actually sit down and explain these things to them, otherwise they will never get on board with any of it.

@Dumbtwitxoxo @bbfeebeee it gives validity to a dumb question that continues to be asked over and over
English

@bbfeebeee Ok, I misread the title as “cross dressing and how it’s different from being trans” my bad. I still think it’s not that big a deal because it’s obviously clickbait for ignorant people and the article actually answers the question many people already have correctly.

@cannibality and im adding this here to remind people that yes, on the surface, i think self love is an extremely important first step, i just understand the subtext of how a lot of people use that phrase particularly to strip any nuance from the conversation, and stigmatize.
English

@cannibality i think it *does* mean something that OP disingenuously selected this tweet in particular to demonize medical procedures that trans women also get to feel better about themselves and push an oddly t3rf adjacent "love the body your in" angle
English

I agree that we shouldn't moralise about plastic surgery and that there's nothing wrong with wanting it generally or for dysphoria specifically. but I think it does mean something that this rib remodelling photo we're all discoursing about was posted by a pro-ana thinspo account
