@chymaker Yes. I worked at one of those and there were Nigerians there. Nigerians in the diaspora are also known to hire private tutors.

The intentionality of South Asian people in the UK is severely underestimated. I thought I have seen it all but I was somewhere waiting for a friend to pick me up to the office. Whilst there I saw all types of cars dropping off children as young as 4 years old. They will press a buzzer and would be allowed in. The frequency caught my attention especially as it was Friday and I had to ask. I was informed it was tutorial and they will be there from 4:30pm until 9pm and it is like that everyday and even weekend. Do we have such platforms to prepare our children in Nigerian communities in the UK 🤔

Ugo, I want you to understand that there's something more sinister at play here and these people want to turn you into a pauper by all means. I'll explain. When filing the case at Lagos Social Services, she must have informed them that you're domiciled in the UK. Yet, the social worker who reached out to you wanted you to travel back to Nigeria and come to their office for a brief chat on very short notice. The ploy here, I believe, is to make you travel to Nigeria and be unable to return to the UK, not by legal means but by spiritual means. This family you married into is very evil and won't stop coming after you until they bring you down. I don't know if you're spiritual or religious, but I advise you to tell your parents and other family members to intercede for you through prayers. As you're confronting this issue legally, also confront it spiritually. If possible, don't come to Nigeria for now no matter what happens. Make it clear that you won’t succumb to any blackmail using your son. Approach this issue like they're coming after your existence, because they actually are.
UGO 🇬🇧@heismric

For the past week your father has been harassing my family and showing up at my Lagos residence unannounced, with threats about taking my away son, again. Now I get a call from the Lagos State Ministry of Justice Public defender, social services department that you filled, yet another false petition accusing my sister of forcefully taking my son from you, when in fact you left him on his sick bed unattended with no adult supervision, because “you went to the market” but filled such petition, even tho you know he was taken to our family hospital, treated and has been spending time with me? Just like you falsely accused my sister in London to the UK’s social services of trying to take our son from you too? Which was again disproved. You asked to spend time with him a few days to his birthday today at 9am on WhatsApp. I responded by 2pm today that he can be dropped off to you tomorrow if you can confirm if that works. But you were at the Lagos state ministry by 4pm filling a false petition, damm! My boy is not even officially British yet, I still have to give that to him in a few months, yet your family keeps trying to take advantage of him, first to emotionally blackmail me into giving in, then for your visa sake, and even now, wants to try and use him again, and again, and again! It’s okay for you to enjoy self-destruction, but dragging my boy to forcefully remain with you in Lagos and forfeit his life in the Uk and dual citizenship is a deep level of reckless wickedness for a child you claim to love, yet steady putting in harms way.

Made a random cover of Kizz Daniel's and Davido's "One ticket" in 2018 and it took me from 2k followers to 50k followers on ig in 24 hours and I haven't stopped making music since then. Got co-signs from every industry head you could think of because of that single cover. Just me and my earpiece on lol. It's been up ever since ❤️

While going home on the 13th of this month, at about 10:15pm, I drove past Dantata Bridge and noticed a young lady standing there with some luggage. Instantly, I remembered how I was robbed at that same spot in 2022. Because of that, I reversed to find out why she was standing there, and also to warn her about how dangerous that place can be at night. When I got to her, I realised she was a lady I met in church last December during our parish Christmas carol. I asked why she was standing there at such an hour. She said she was just returning from the East. Apparently, their bus broke down on the road, which was why they entered Abuja late. She was standing there trying to book an Uber home. I asked which direction she was heading. Luckily for her, it was my axis, and her estate is not very far from mine. So I dropped her off at her estate gate and continued to my house. What surprised me was that she never called or sent a message to check if I got home safely. Two weeks passed, and I concluded that she wasn’t a nice person. Just yesterday, I went out to get lunch and I saw her. This time, I pretended I didn’t see her. She walked up to my table, greeted me, and said, “I know you’re very angry that I didn’t call you that night to check if you got home safely. I misplaced my phone that night and I don’t even know where it is.” At that point, I was convinced she was lying because I had seen her booking an Uber that same night. So I didn’t give her a friendly look. She noticed, but didn’t push further with the apology. She simply gave a soft smile and said her break was over and she needed to get back to work. Now here’s the part that just humbled me. While on break today, I took my car to the car wash. While cleaning under the seat, the guy handed me a phone he found there. Guess whose phone it was? Ada, I hope this post somehow gets to you. I’m sorry for not believing you, even when you had no reason to lie. I would have brought the phone to your house, but I don’t know where exactly you stay. If you see this, please meet me by the grotto side after 8am Mass on Sunday. Kindly help me repost 🙏, so Ada can see this.

Omooo, today I really understood why people say many marriages are breaking down in the UK. This couple came into the waiting area with two kids, a toddler and a baby. The mum was carrying the baby, while the dad was busy making phone calls. After almost an hour of waiting, the mum gently asked the dad if he could carry the baby for a minute so she could rest her back. The man ended his call and immediately started throwing words at her, calling her lazy and using other unkind names. What shocked me the most was how quickly they switched to speaking English, with the woman loudly explaining what caused the argument. I was honestly embarrassed for them, and deeply disappointed in the man. I fear the white people around may sense that explanation as a cry for help. What exactly is the big deal in carrying your own child? Even if your wife didn’t spell it out that her hands or back were hurting, common sense should tell you that carrying a baby for that long is exhausting. Why turn it into a fight? Why verbally abuse your wife in a public waiting room? I was there as a patient myself, too weak to say anything. And as expected, none of the white people there intervened, they never do. I truly hope they sit down and reflect. Whether your wife is tired or not, that child is yours. Parenting is not “helping” your wife; it is your responsibility. Carry your child. Protect your marriage. Use wisdom. Women on maternity leave are not idle.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Damilola Balogun on the 1st of January 2026 😢 Damilola was a loving wife, a devoted mother, and the main applicant for her family on skilled worker visa. Just five months ago, she welcomed her beautiful baby into the world. What should have been a time of joy soon turned into a painful and tragic journey no family should endure. It all started when Damilola began complaining of severe migraines. She visited Walsall Manor Hospital, where she was treated and discharged. Three days later, she returned with the same symptoms, but no cause was found and she was sent home again. Two weeks later, the headaches persisted, and this time she was admitted. Doctors administered antibiotics and carried out an MRI scan and a lumbar puncture. The results revealed water on her brain, and Damilola was urgently referred to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham, for surgery. The surgery was initially successful, and there was hope. Tragically, three days later, Damilola went into a coma and was placed on life support. Despite all medical efforts and prayers, it was confirmed that she could not recover. On the morning of 1st January 2026, the life support machine was switched off. While others were welcoming the first day of a new year in celebration, this family was plunged into unbearable grief. Damilola leaves behind three children aged 11 years, 10 years, and a 5month old baby, her husband, her mother and grandmother. Since this ordeal began, her husband has been unable to work, staying by her side throughout hospital admissions and recovery attempts. Their savings have been completely exhausted, and the family is now facing funeral costs and the immense responsibility of raising three children without their mother. We are humbly asking for your support; no amount is too small. Your donation will help: •Cover funeral and burial expenses •Provide immediate support for her children •Ease the financial burden on the grieving family Please consider donating and sharing this page. Let us come together to show this family that they are not alone during their darkest moment. Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and generosity. 🙏 gofund.me/a9b994ec2
