Yes, because God doesn’t rape anyone. That is the malevolent action of humans. Perhaps you should read more of my posts, in which, I clarify my beliefs more comprehensively, and some of which, support your belief about the propaganda tool that is the “edited” Bible instead of focusing on one statement I make that you disagree with. Whether God is the source of creation or not, I see no harm in believing, He or It or whatever you want to call it, loves us. I’m a rape survivor myself and I feel certain that our creator loves me. I choose to believe that because, for all I know, we didn’t create ourselves. God, in my view is the source of all creation and that works with every religion and creation theory as far as I can see because some force or energy had to manifest the existence of everything. God is not human. When we refer to him as Him, that is the application of a long used practice to describe an “unknown.” It’s my belief that God is like “the force” and the force is neutral. It’s humans, having free will, that determine whether to wield the force for good or for evil & we reap what we sow.

This belief is no less an unprovable faith than any other. What I don’t fully understand is why some people feel such a strong need to prove there is no creator/designer? I get that many come from painful religious backgrounds or see real harm done in the name of faith — that makes sense. But I still wonder why is it so hard for some to simply say “I don’t know” instead of turning it into a life's mission to disprove God? Ultimate questions about the universe seem bigger than any of us can fully settle. A little humility feels like the wiser path. Curious what you think — what inate desire drives that urge to prove “no creator” in your view?
