Announcing MagicSchool's $45M Series B Fundraise to Transform Teaching and Learning with AI In just over 18 months since our launch, @magicschoolai has found its way into educator workflows like nothing before it. Today, millions use MagicSchool as an AI assistant for their work and for creating responsible AI experiences for their students. We are now partnered with more than 10,000 schools, with an educator using MagicSchool in nearly every U.S. school district—and in 160 countries around the world. As a lifelong educator, I have seen firsthand how schools struggle with limited resources. While AI cannot solve every challenge in education, we are committed to building tools that help bridge the gap. MagicSchool’s AI is already addressing significant needs in schools, such as differentiating instruction, supporting language learning, providing adaptive one-on-one tutoring, differentiating instruction, and offering just-in-time support for students. Yet, we know there is so much more we can do to support educators and students. Schools and districts frequently ask, “Can you build this too?”—and we want to say yes every single time. To meet this growing demand, we recently launched MagicSchool Labs, a dedicated space for developing and testing new AI-driven tools for education. Our first project, a Data Analysis Tool, allows educators to gain insights from school data using natural language, driving more informed instruction. This tool will launch in beta, and early feedback has already been overwhelmingly positive. While the major players in AI focus on broader markets, K-12 education remains our singular priority. Our school partners appreciate our laser focus on their needs, but they have also voiced concerns about the long-term viability of startups in the education space. We understand that stability and solvency are critical for schools, which is why raising this funding was about more than just growth—it was about reinforcing our commitment to being here for the long haul. This funding will allow us to expand our product and engineering teams to develop even more AI-driven capabilities, strengthen partnerships, grow our customer experience team, and continue innovating alongside educators. We are also doubling down on our commitment to safety and responsibility—enhancing product testing and growing our dedicated team to ensure MagicSchool remains the most trusted, secure platform for schools.
