- Buy a VPS from Hostinger for under $20
- Host the necessary open-source tools yourself
- Set up the database and other tools on the VPS
- Back up your database on Cloudflare R2 storage for free
💡Use a tool like Dokploy or Coolify to automate all of this

You can now query sent email history directly from your code with rich filters (sender, recipient, status, sending stream, and more). Access full event timelines, ESP responses and download raw .eml files with a signed URL.

You can't just rely on standard email hosting anymore.
You need to manually configure your SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for every single sending domain you own.

The deliverability trap most people walk into 3 weeks after migration:
Everything seems fine. Then a client calls and says their emails are going to spam.
What happened: Google flagged the sending IP because your SPF is too broad (include:_spf.google.com plus five other legacy includes you forgot to clean up), or your DMARC is still p=none from when you set it up and never tightened it.
Fix: audit your DNS records 2 to 3 weeks after migration. Tighten SPF. Move DMARC from p=none to p=quarantine. Then p=reject 2 weeks after that.
Deliverability is a maintenance task, not a one-time setup.

✉️ Trying @Cloudflare's new Email Sending feature today If you send 1,000,000 emails per month: - Postmark: $1,206/mo - Resend: $650/mo - SendGrid: $600/mo - Cloudflare: $354/mo - Amazon SES: $100/mo So Postmark is now by far the most expensive email provider And SES and Cloudflare are now the cheapest email providers I know my friend @marckohlbrugge is trying out SES now so I'll try Cloudflare and see how it is, SES is cheaper but Marc said it takes a bit more managing, and since I already use so much Cloudflare stuff it's nice to use them for email too With AI especially all of these are just as easy to use and setup in your app/site so economically it makes sense to go for the cheapest, because email is just email, it's all the same and deliverability is good with all of these I think TL;DR email sending has become a commodity!
