Bruce Branch was the No. 1 player in the 2027 class before reclassifying to 2026, which says a lot. That class is loaded, and he still stood out. At 6’7 with a 7’1 wingspan, he’s long, fluid, and special. Definitely one to watch. 👀 @thegrindsession

Four years older makes zero difference. So was Jeremiah Smith not the best receiver in the country the past two years just because he was younger? Also, Booker was the third leading score on UK's 14/15 team but was clearly the best player, but also younger. Pierre's game is 10x more complete than Lindsay and co.

LOL ... I love his game and his potential is unlimited. But "best player in KY right now" is crazy talk.
Frankie Vision@Frankie_Vision

The best basketball player in Kentucky is a 13 year old 8th grader.. Pierre Rondo Jr. is the best 8th grader I’ve seen since OJ Mayo.. The Boy is still in pull ups playing HS varsity in Kentucky.. Fresh out of daycare. HE was playing the. #1 ranked team in KY last night.. He’s in EIGHTH grade and was clearly the best playler on the floor.. His game management is unreal.. He is the Best over player in Kentucky RN…

Is there even any real competition in the SEC at this point for Darius Acuff winning SEC FOY?

Notes: King of the Bluegrass @kingofbluegrass #kingofbluegrass @Make5media Day 4, Game 14: Male 62 vs. Frederick Douglas 59 Given the contrasting styles, this one felt destined to be a physical war—and it delivered. The game turned into a back-and-forth battle, with FD Sr. G and Bellarmine commit DeMarcus Surratt trying to will his team to victory, pouring in 27 points and grabbing 7 rebounds. But once again, Male’s Super Sophomore guard Jordan Mitchell rose to the moment, posting another monster performance with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and a steady diet of clutch shots when it mattered most. @ehoopsshowcase @PQSports @Bayareahoopsfl @BabyLuka15 @dsurratt3 @FDBoysHoops @MaleHighBBall

Notes: King of the Bluegrass @kingofbluegrass #kingofbluegrass @Make5media Day 4, Game 13: St. X 70 vs Madison Central 59 The outcome was never in doubt. St. X controlled the tempo from start to finish and proved to be too athletic and aggressive for MC. Sophomore Jordan Jackson was a major problem on both ends of the floor, seemingly contesting every shot in the paint while also making his presence felt offensively with 17 points. Fellow sophomore standout Jordan Lindsay matched that effort, also pouring in 17 points. For MC, Jake Feldhaus had a tough night but still managed to grind out a strong stat line of 18 points and 15 rebounds.. @ehoopsshowcase @PQSports @Bayareahoopsfl @jordanjack1423 @StXBasketball @lindsayj28 @FeldhausJake

Notes: King of the Bluegrass @kingofbluegrass #kingofbluegrass @Make5media Day 3, Game 10: Madison Central 86 vs. Fairdale 72 (OT) Host Fairdale was able to stand toe to toe with one of the top teams in the state by getting MS star player Jake Feldhaus in early foul trouble. Fairdale Jr. G Kamari Roberts scored 39 points on a 13 for 29 shooting night and hit a big 3 to take it into OT. The 2nd half Feldhaus controlled and dominated with 28 & 10. @ehoopsshowcase @PQSports @Bayareahoopsfl @FeldhausJake @PointGod001

Notes: King of the Bluegrass @kingofbluegrass #kingofbluegrass @Make5media Day 3, Game 11: St. X 57 vs. North Oldham 47 This was a game of contrast, a team that people have as a heavy favorite to win state, St. X, against a team that doesn’t have one senior that’s gotten any minutes. NO came out on fire and had St. X startled. Then the state frontrunners took control in the 2nd half, led by KY Mr. Basketball hopeful Jeremiah Jackson with 17 & 10. NO Jr. Tommy Gregg, who’s started the season hot, finished with 17 & 10. @ehoopsshowcase @PQSports @Bayareahoopsfl @Jerms_Jackson23 @StXTigersBKB @TommyGregg0

Notes: King of the Bluegrass @kingofbluegrass #kingofbluegrass @Make5media Day 3, Game 12: Frederick Douglas 74 vs. North Laurel 64 The last game of the night was also a game with a contrast of style. NL wanted to control the pace and play off their All State and Mr Basketball hopeful Reece Davidson while FD just wanted to push it 94 feet from start to finish. FD led from wire to wire and had a balance attack with 5 players in double figures led by Sr. Tate Robinson with 18 and was deadly beyond the arc going 5 for 7. NL star and Libery commit did all he could to keep his team in the game with 32 pts. @ehoopsshowcase @PQSports @Bayareahoopsfl @ReeceDavidson26 @FDBoysHoops @robinson21_nick
