Contrary to popular belief, immigrants don't cause trouble here when it comes to graffiti and vandalism. It's actually the nazis and hooligan football fans that are signing their tags and putting stickers of their affiliations.
404oops@oops4041555

@Bynacks @saraaa7447 often tagged with stickers, but other than that nope. Even those "Fake Trees" you keep seeing are untouched by anything

We’re introducing GPT-5.4 mini and nano, our most capable small models yet. GPT-5.4 mini is more than 2x faster than GPT-5 mini. Optimized for coding, computer use, multimodal understanding, and subagents. For lighter-weight tasks, GPT-5.4 nano is our smallest and cheapest version of GPT-5.4. openai.com/index/introduc…

@fede_intern @claudeai @OpenAI There is some confirmation bias here that most relationships are workable. Claude is unironically a pretty ok therapist and with enough back and forth i can see it come to mostly good conclusions

Massive opportunity in tennis/sports to create humans vs. machines leagues Totally disruptive that incumbent leagues are structurally incapable of copying Start with Federer vs. AI Federer!
Andrew Kang@Rewkang

Researchers trained a humanoid robot to play tennis using only 5 hours of motion capture data The robot can now sustain multi-shot rallies with human players, hitting balls traveling >15 m/s with a ~90% success rate AlphaGo for every sport is coming

Sometimes you need to watch AI slop of a country to see the lowest common denominators at their purest distilled form. Like how AI slops of pastors turning swolen legs into snakes in some African countries, funk edits of Hindu gods, etc. Interesting anthropological phenomenon.

We should build more crypto tools for refugees and stateless people. Because there may unfortunately be many more refugees and stateless people…and from all social classes. Ukrainians leaving the war. Californians leaving the state. Gulf workers leaving the missiles. Doesn’t necessarily mean huge design changes. If you build convenient consumer tools for millions that work in peacetime, then they’ll often be robust enough to work in wartime. Because crypto is wartime mode, but for the Internet. Public blockchains were created to resist datacenter attacks, hacks, and network blocks. It’s simply enlightened self-interest to build scalable, reliable tools. For example: Signal works for poor people in poor countries in poor conditions, so it’ll likely work for you. Stablecoins are actually getting to this level of ubiquity in crypto, and already making a real dent globally, including the new gold-backed varieties. But we can do more.
andi (twocents.com)@Nexuist

It’s very unfortunate that crypto is a great solution for refugees who are stateless and forced to interact with crumbling institutions and payment rails, but nobody in crypto builds for refugees because they’re not useful consumers for gambling

That's honestly sad. It was the first fun (and social) use of crypto I ever experienced. Also it made @ensdomains cards possible. For years I never understood how or why @gnosis_ didn't take advantage of having one of the biggest NFT collection in their hands. It may be selfish, but I truly hope the project can evolve and picked up in the future.

Transhumanists would rather fill the world with these nightmarish abominations than accept the fact that their morality is fundamentally flawed. There is NOTHING morally wrong with slaughtering animals. Livestock can be raised and slaughtered 100% humanely. They can live happy, healthy lives, and have painless, stress-free deaths. I know this for a fact, as that's how we do it on our farm. In nature, prey animals depend on predators to keep their numbers in check, and prevent them from destroying their own environment and, thus, themselves through overpopulation. In ethical animal husbandry, humans have simply taken on the role of a supremely benevolent apex predator that grants their "prey" lives and deaths that are far, FAR better than those their wild counterparts get to experience. Thus, converting wilderness to farms already results in a HUGE decrease of animal suffering, and on truly ethical farms, animals don't suffer at all. Hence, I believe pushing for cruelty-free farming is a much better and healthier strategy than trying to spawn horrific, brainless flesh robots in an effort to solve a non-existent moral problem.
Kai Micah Mills@kaimicahmills

the ultimate solution is through technology we engineer what has been called a bodyoid: brainless animal bodies that provide as much meat as we desire without harming any sentient beings this would transform medicine - the same platform would allow us to grow organs on demand, eliminate transplant waiting lists, and produce perfectly matched tissues for each patient experimental therapies could be tested on full biological systems without involving conscious animals, regenerative medicine would accelerate as entire replacement tissues become manufacturable in the same way that agriculture turned food from a scarce resource into an abundant one, engineered bodyoids would turn biological material into infrastructure - meat without slaughter, organs without donors, and medical research without sentient suffering

i may be wrong but; - hash the unfinished upload - upon reconnect, tell user to hash the unfinished bits of upload (if sequential, if not then fuck me) - if hashes match (considering good server-client trust and valid auth), shift the upload by a few bytes (the more the merrier when trust is at play) so that the server knows where to catch up and continue hash the whole files in the end and then drop the upload if neither match. hashes are unique.

@austingriffith @AnthropicAI @escottalexander @_carletex_ this doesnt seem like a very productive benchmark? its basically a test of reading comprehension for LLMs from what i skimmed throug it. its "is this this fact true" while the skill contains said fact? this does not seem like its a realistic assesment of real world use for these
