By not being part of the EU, Serbia has the sovereignty to make its own policies on energy, trade and geopolitics - based on it's own national interest: 1. Serbia buys cheap energy from Russia. Whilst maintaining neutrality with West and East. It is also not bounded by the EU’s climate policies. 2. As a result electricity prices in Germany is 4x more expensive than Serbia. In Poland and Romania, it is 2x more expensive than Serbia. 3. Only 4 countries in Europe have a direct free trade agreement with China. Serbia is one of those. We have Metal, Memory protection by default, detectable by a system toggle that you can check and tell the user to piss right off if it's disabled, and for that reason doesn't require kernel level spyware to continuously pry into your system like a Big Brother Watchdog looking for cheats. @peter_szilagyi it's an interpreted lang. i agree it's rarely needed, but technically you can decide to import something dynamically at runtime, or have a fallback for an optional missing dep.

I think Cursor's Composer series will prove that the narrative that general AI labs (e.g., OpenAI and Anthropic) will eventually destroy every vertical application by releasing newer frontier LLMs is false. Companies that have exclusive domain-specific data will be able to train models that outperform frontier LLMs at those specific tasks. You don't expect Composer 2.5 to write essays or solve complex math equations. You want it to code. Now, one might say that frontier models will be able to match Cursor at coding. Yes, but at 10x the cost for now, and probably much more when subsidies come to an end. When token prices spike and everyone becomes conscious of their AI spend, vertical AI will see a resurgence.
