Kickstarter moved their headquarters to the old Eberhard-Faber factory. Giving a new life to the birthplace of Blackwings. We owe a lot to both of these organisations and are proud to be part of both #Pencil and #Crowdfunding communities

Blackwing pencils were first produced by the Eberhard-Faber Co. in Brooklyn, NY. They were highly in demand as the best quality pencils available. The factory ceased production in the 1980s and the factory building became unoccupied.

Makers Cabinet launched Høvel on @Kickstarter in 2017. If we reached our high target we planned to launch a black edition Høvel. We didn’t quite get there but fast forward to now and we are launching it in collaboration with the coolest pencil brand in the world @Blackwing 🧵
