I got called a p*ki by a patient in the pharmacy who told me she didn’t want me to serve her since I didn’t respond to her question asking what religion I am. Nothing life-threatening, so yes I turned her away. We should not be expected to tolerate racial abuse. End of.

Appalling scenes of racist violence in the UK. Our annual Sanctuary Festival embodies how this country should be - people of all faiths, backgrounds, and races having fun and enjoying life together, building friendships and memories together. Division is not the answer, unity is.

Lovely story from #Hastings today. Shows that when we stand together we can defeat the far right: At 2pm today the Hastings mosque received a threat of an attack by email. They contacted SUTR and we put a call out for 4pm. At 4pm 50 people showed up at Hastings mosque. We are now having a meeting inside the mosque - discussing the fascist threat and the need to build a mass anti racist movement. We do not expect an attack - it was probably a hoax. But the turnout was very heartening. We are ready, just in case.

“We are not going to let them divide us” We were inspired by these heartwarming scenes in Middlesborough as the community stood together after riots yesterday. Communities are SO much stronger than the small, hateful group trying to divide us. THIS is who we really are.

@bt_uk hello, I'm staying in a flat for a month that picks up one of your hotspots. Spent £39 and I either cannot get online or it kicks me off after a few seconds.. complete waste of money. Can I have a refund please.
