History has been made. The UK has never recognised a genocide whilst it’s occurred, but our parliamentarians recognised the #UyghurGenocide today. Still a long way to go but it is a true privilege to support the #Uyghurs.

With all the news, the ABSOLUTELY STAGGERING details of the #HKETO foreign interference trial are going unnoticed. Here's a 🧵 of some of the jaw-dropping details from the prosecution: 1. Defendants pour water under the door of the victim, then force entry (📽️ below) bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… 2. Defendants allegedly surveil victims' flat with an endoscopic camera. instagram.com/reels/DVicSKTj… 3. Defendant repeatedly knocked on the victim's door while claiming to be building maintenance in order to gain entry. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… 4. Defendants deliver package to the victim at their address while filming the encounter. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… 5. Defendant uses access to the Home Office ‘Atlas’ immigration database in order to obtain personal information. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/… 6. Defendant attends anti-china protests using a fake police ID card. news.sky.com/story/city-of-… 7. Defendant sent a list of names back to handler in Hong Kong naming several UK lawmakers and HK pro-democracy supporters. Including @MPIainDS independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/… 8. Defendant allegedly paid £4,500 per month to record and track local pro-democracy campaigners. independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/… 9. Defendant and former Hong Kong Police officer discussed deploying local Chinese triads (14K) to “teach Mr. Cheng a lesson”. In a separate incident, pro-democracy protestors were beaten up in London’s Chinatown by the members from the same triad group. pulsehknews.com/20260311chu_fa… Please note that this work was allegedly commissioned and paid for by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office - Hong Kong's de facto 'embassy' in the UK. Let this serve as a rebuke to those who claim that a mega-embassy (with attendant increase in PRC diplomats) will have no impact on interference.

If a bounty-hunted, sanctioned by Beijing, victim in an ongoing National Security Act espionage case like @finnlau_cd is made to wait interminably for a UK citizenship determination, what hope have other HK BN(O)s got? Come on @ukhomeoffice sort it out! thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

BREAKING Keir Starmer has given the US the green light to mount 'defensive' airstrikes against targets in Iran from Diego Garcia and RAF Fairford Starmer is delineating between the initial, offensive attacks by the US and Israel - which the UK did not support after deciding doing so would be unlawful - and 'defensive' action to stop wave after wave of drone and missile strikes across the Middle East 'Our partners in the Gulf have asked us to do more to defend them. And it’s my duty to protect British lives. 'We have British jets in the air as part of coordinated defensive operations which have already successfully intercepted Iranian strikes. 'But the only way to stop the threat is to destroy the missiles at source – in their storage depots or the launchers which are used to fire the missiles. 'The US has requested permission to use British bases for that specific and limited defensive purpose. 'We have taken the decision to accept this request to prevent Iran firing missiles across the region, killing innocent civilians, putting British lives at risk and hitting countries that have not been involved 'The basis of our decision is the collective self-defence of longstanding friends and allies, and protecting British lives. This is in line with international law and we are publishing a summary of our legal advice'

On the list of very real challenges to do with integration, surely this cannot be a serious one. In a footballing league full of diverse players. Think people need to gain some perspective and focus their energy on the real issues! My goodness.
Bev Turner@beverleyturner

Omg.... Once we accommodate Muslim traditions like this into our cultural infrastructure, there will never be any going back. It's as though the decision-makers WANT to cause national division. Weak leadership creates uncertainty and fear. Fear creates anger. Anger creates violence. Where are the bloody adults?

But these aren’t “significant changes”. Match time often pauses for similar lengths when there is a VAR review or an injury. It’s simple: a considerable number of footballers are Muslims fasting for Ramadan, hence an accommodation was made. Chill. Not everything is suspicious.
Paul Embery@PaulEmbery

Some will consider this a positive example of tolerance and inclusion. But the question is: should our national sport make significant changes to its longstanding laws - in this case introducing irregular match breaks - to accommodate the rituals of a minority religion? Thoughts?

I appreciated the opportunity to meet with @GraceJDrexel to discuss #FoRB in China. Her courageous testimony regarding her father, Ezra Jin, and other detained pastors was deeply moving. Freedom of religion or belief is a fundamental right that must be upheld.

The alacrity with which they compare any infraction to 1930's Nazi Germany vs their inability to hear language about Jews that wouldn't be out place there.
Campaign Against Antisemitism@antisemitism

Ash Sarkar tries to ‘correct’ Dr Myriam Francois as she says that Jews are privileged and wealthy. “Individuals” prompts Ms Sarkar? “Group” doubles down Dr Francois. It is part of her argument that Government funds are being unduly spent defending a minority against a secondary racism, using a classic antisemitic trope about Jewish wealth. It might be ironic were it not so darkly dangerous too. She is effectively arguing that because there are some Jewish billionaires in Britain, all Jews are therefore wealthy and privileged and they cannot possibly be as vulnerable or maligned as is being claimed. It is hard to know where the ignorance ends and the prejudice begins. Were Dr Francois to spend any time in Britain’s Jewish community, she would see families struggling with poverty, families that are comfortable, and families that are wealthy – just like any other community. In any event, nobody deserves to be maligned for their ethnic or religious background, regardless of their wealth. According to our analysis of Home Office figures, Jews are more than nine times more likely to be the targets of hate crime than any other religious group – and these figures are not even complete, such that the true scale is likely to be even worse. It is insulting that Dr Francois dismisses the reality that British Jews are living through – to the point that a majority of them no longer see a future in this country – because she found some Jewish names on the rich list. The fact that she was even looking is telling. This is the face of ‘educated’ discourse about Jews in Britain, from an Oxford-educated doctor of philosophy and broadcaster for the BBC, Channel 4, Al Jazeera and the Islam Channel.

Overt antisemitism on display from Myriam, all whilst Ash gives it a free pass. Myriam continues to double down on what she said too. Perfect example of leftist antisemitism in action. The ignorance, arrogance, and prejudice is nauseatingly grotesque.
