Scotland’s only oil refinery that could produce jet fuel for the UK has been forced to shut down, the latest victim of Ed Miliband’s carbon tax.
Grangemouth closed last year after the tax doubled under Labour’s Net Zero push.

الرئيس جوزاف عون اطّلع من حاكم مصرف لبنان كريم سعيد على الأوضاع المالية والنقدية الراهنة، ومستوى الاستقرار النقدي، والإجراءات الاحترازية التي يعتمدها المصرف المركزي للحفاظ على الاستقرار وتأمين السيولة في الأسواق. كما تم التداول في اجتماعات الربيع المرتقبة لصندوق النقد الدولي، حيث تقرر أن يشارك مصرف لبنان بوفد تقني محدود، على أن يبقى سعيد في لبنان ويشارك في الاجتماعات عبر تقنية الاتصال المرئي. وتناول اللقاء أيضاً عدداً من المسائل المرتبطة بالقطاع المصرفي والوضع النقدي، في إطار الحرص على صون الاستقرار المالي والنقدي في المرحلة الراهنة.

عملية غش في شحنة فيول واحدة لوزارة الطاقة، كفالتها المحجوزة بلغت 12 مليون دولار، علماً أن الكفالة البنكية عادة لا تتجاوز 10% من قيمة الشحنة، وهكذا يمكنكم تقدير حجم صفقة الفيول المغشوش في هذه الشحنة!

هكذا كانت تُهدر الأموال، وهكذا كانت تُنهب ودائع الناس.
منظومة كاملة كانت تستجلب أموال المودعين عبر المصارف، لتُضخّ في صفقات مشبوهة، تحت غطاء سياسي وتشريعي كامل، من وزراء ونواب، بلا أي رقابة أو محاسبة… فقط محاصصات وتقاسم مغانم.
واليوم، بكل وقاحة، يُقال لنا إن “الخسائر وقعت”، ويريدون تحميلها للمودعين وتسميتها “فجوة”!
أي فجوة هذه؟! هذه سرقة موصوفة وليست خسارة.
المودعون لن يدفعوا ثمن فسادكم.
والمحاسبة آتية، عاجلاً أم آجلاً، لكل من شارك أو غطّى أو استفاد من نهب جنى عمر الناس.
ولا نزال بانتظار تنفيذ الوعود والتعهدات… لا خطابات.

What is striking today is Europe’s blindness. While the United States confronts a regime that is not driven by ordinary strategic calculations, Europe hesitates, equivocates, and hides behind a façade of prudence.
This is not a Cold War–style ideological rivalry. We are dealing with a regime whose worldview is deeply shaped by a theological and eschatological dimension, where political decisions are intertwined with a belief in a quasi-divine mission.
Treating such an actor as if it were a purely rational state is a fundamental mistake. History shows that inaction in the face of regimes driven by absolute conviction does not prevent conflict, it only postpones it and makes it worse.
Refusing to support the United States today is choosing short-term comfort over long-term security.
