@B1OBEY0ND Coaches protect each other. It’s part of the fraternity rules. You never know when you might need a job from one of your “brothers”. It’s a tight group.

@WhiteOutFB Franklin was fired because they gave him everything he asked for and he totally 💩the bed. He chased the shiny ball with his coaching staff hires and didn’t match talent with scheme. Campbell won’t make that mistake!!

Penn State didn’t hire Matt Campbell to recruit better. I don’t think many ADs hire based on recruiting especially in NIL era. He was hired to bring a different look at which each position should look like, his history of developing players and his A+ coaching.

@Doober15 @WhiteOutFB I have no real expectations in year one. No real QB depth could be a huge issue if Becht gets hurt. Lots of ifs. Would be a great accomplishment to make the playoffs this year…but not very likely IMO. Gotta keep your good players and coaches for years two and three.

Once the roster is settled and the staff doesn’t need to have 25 to 30 players in a class , you’ll see the program be more aggressive with high ranked players Facts are Penn state can’t afford to outbid for players right now. You can hate it or not believe it but it’s true

@B1OBEY0ND @WhiteOutFB @PaivaAniti @GregBiggins Going to suck to lose Taylor and Sesay tho🤦‍♂️

@Doober15 @WhiteOutFB They’ll win plenty of games…but competing for a natty right away is unrealistic. Yeah, it happened once in my lifetime with Cignetti, but that’s far from the norm. Give him time.

@malden1_mark @WhiteOutFB just my opinion but if he only wins like 13 games in two years he’ll be gone. Where the hell is the adidas money?? I really like Campbell, but for him to succeed he needs to win right away.

@B1OBEY0ND It’s actually very smart. But the negative people can’t see it. They have no clue about what it takes to build it. They want immediate results.

@WhiteOutFB Stop obsessing over this class. This is a two/three year process. Recruit kids with potential and talent and develop them for two years. Then re-evaluate. Continue to recruit and use the portal. None of you have a clue about how to build a CFB team!!

This is a casual uneducated take. Penn State doesn’t have Michigan money. Your AD isn’t a doofus and completely obliterated a top 15 2026 class. So the turnover is massive. We need 25 at least in this class plus portal help. And I’d say half of those 3 stars will end up 4 by NSD
Brandon 〽️• 🦁@FireUpUmich

@Underwood_szn I don’t get why Penn state fans keep praising that class… you are not Iowa state you are Penn state lmao

I don’t think fans understand how good of a football player a 3 star ranked recruit is. Insanely disrespectful to these HS athletes when you make dumb uninformed ignorant statements.

@B1OBEY0ND The smart model is to pay 3 star guys market. They have 2 years to show they’re worth more….if not, they can keep the lower pay and stay….or transfer. It’s not much different than the NFL rookie approach. Deviate from that at your own risk!!

Gabe Jenkins was a Rivals 3 star rated Safety which Deion offered 3x the NIL market value to land. The money bei g thrown around at prospects that have over a 30% chance of not staying more than two years is dumb, and not sustainable. These programs will learn...

@B1OBEY0ND There’s the whole locker room issue that you have to respect too. Paying an unproven high school kid as much or more than a proven player isn’t a good strategy either. These guys know who’s getting paid and who isn’t. Tricky line to walk.

We know for the elite players it's a bidding game. It's about money. And I respect coaches that refuse to engage in bidding games w unproven teenagers. With that being said, at some point you have to get past it & pull the trigger, or you're never getting these types of guys.
White Out Football@WhiteOutFB

He’s gone. Penn state will have to pivot at safety. Khalil Taylor and Abraham Sesay are the last opportunities. Otherwise Penn state landed 1 of the top 15 players in the state. Just really aggravating

My comparison research for PSU QB Commit: Will Wood The closest historical comparison I keep coming back to for Baker Mayfield is probably the best overall comp for Will Wood, specifically a slightly bigger, more physical high-school version of Baker before he fully exploded nationally. That comparison actually showed up independently in scouting coverage as well. One detailed evaluation of Wood’s tape specifically compared him to the current NFL version of Baker because of: off-platform creativity quick processing aggressive mentality rhythm passing ability emotional leadership ability to create outside structure without becoming chaotic Why the comp fits: Wood isn’t a pure dual-threat runner, but he’s mobile enough to extend plays. He throws very well on the move and outside the pocket. He plays with visible swagger and competitiveness. His film shows a “gamer” mentality and clutch-play tendency. At 6'1"-6'2" and 205-220 pounds, he has a compact, thickly built frame similar to Mayfield coming out. Another interesting stylistic comparison: Brock Purdy This one makes sense because of the Matt Campbell connection. Campbell’s quarterback philosophy historically prioritizes: toughness leadership processing creativity under pressure winning traits over elite raw tools Wood sounds very much like the kind of QB Campbell loved developing at Iowa State. He may not yet have the arm talent ceiling of a five-star cannon-armed prospect, but the traits people keep mentioning are: command poise timing competitiveness play extension situational football That screams Purdy-style developmental upside. A deeper-cut old-school comparison: Trace McSorley with a stronger arm and sturdier frame. Not athletically identical, but stylistically: both are “point guard” style competitors both thrive improvisationally both seem to elevate teammates both win with timing, movement, toughness, and confidence more than overwhelming physical traits The biggest difference: Wood appears thicker-built and more willing to attack tight-window throws than McSorley did in high school. If I had to tier the comps: Baker Mayfield — best overall stylistic comparison Brock Purdy — best developmental/system comparison Trace McSorley — best Penn State-specific emotional/playstyle comparison The common thread among all three: they’re quarterbacks whose value comes from instincts, confidence, improvisation, leadership, and competitive toughness rather than pure elite measurables.

@Rob979340293800 @jota_snchez And a huge government subsidization to get him “started”: As of early 2025, Elon Musk’s companies—primarily SpaceX and Tesla—have received at least $38 billion in government contracts, loans, subsidies, and tax credits over the past two decades. This total is likely an undercount

Larry Ellison acaba de hacer la única pregunta que ningún periodista en la Tierra puede responder. Un periodista del Wall Street Journal le dijo a la cara a Larry Ellison que Elon Musk no sabe lo que hace. Ellison no discutió. No se alteró. Solo hizo una pregunta. Ellison: “Este tipo aterriza cohetes sobre plataformas robóticas en medio del océano… ¿y tú dices que no sabe lo que hace? ¿Alguna vez has aterrizado un cohete?” ¿Qué has construido? ¿Qué has lanzado?
