Interested in Ubiquitin, Parkinson’s disease therapy, mitochondria or DUB inhibitors? This preprint may be for you: We show how the deubiquitinase USP30 can specifically be inhibited & introduce a framework for DUB ligandability. biorxiv.org/content/10.110… Thread👇 – with movie!!

For all ubiquitin, deubiquitinase and chemical biology aficionados: Here's a preprint from the lab introducing 2 new active DUBs in humans & a unique type of DUB activity one would miss with the widely used panels of free ubiquitin chains. t.ly/GnRVv Thread👇(1/10)

Excited to report our discovery of an important component of the oxidative stress response, the E3 ligase TRIP12. It acts as a chain elongation factor that amplifies CUL3-KEAP1 activity to drive NRF2 degradation as cells recover from stress. biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Excited that our work on transcription-coupled DNA repair is now published @CellCellPress! We recapitulated TC-NER in Xenopus egg extract and identified STK19 as a core repair factor that couples stalled Pol II to TFIIH. 🧬🐸 ➡️ cell.com/cell/fulltext/…

The study also establishes chimeric protein engineering to aid DUB crystallization – maybe a crystallization rescue strategy for other challenging enzymes, too? We are excited to share this work & hope you will enjoy reading the preprint. We look forward to comments!
