@WTravisMcMaster I think so. Trump is going to try to force the recess appointment issue, but Johnson will have to play ball and completely neuter himself in order for that to happen. I know that’s not too big of a stretch, but I think they’ll at least try hearings first.

Dems need to meet people where they’re at - and where they actually want to get their news. They need to start leaning on their influencer network NOW. The right-wing podcast apparatus is almost certainly what helped get Trump elected. Dems need a (non-Russian funded) alternative.

@ironhorsetucson I don’t think we’re too screwed. It’s going to be a complete shitshow, but I also think once the market starts reacting negatively to these new policies, Republican outrage will force a change. They aren’t going to let Trump crash their precious stock market.

@jamespagr If he does half of what he’s talking about doing, they’ll figure it out pretty quickly. His base will be disproportionately impacted by his policies. They’ll probably find a way to blame Democrats for it, even though they have complete control right now, but 🤷🏼‍♂️
