HDFC has FINALLY resolved the issue, and we NOW have access to the account - all in less than 24 hours. After dragging this for over 2 weeks. Should I be thanking them? No. ABSOLUTELY NOT. It’s not that HDFC couldn’t fix it - they just didn’t. Until public outrage forced them. That tells you exactly how broken the system really is. There are nearly 250 comments on the post - and almost every single one shares a similar, horrific experience. That’s not an exception. That’s a pattern. Banks exist because of customers - not the other way around. Without customers, they would cease to exist. Take some time, go through those comments, and start fixing things @HDFC_Bank @HDFCBank_Cares. That’s the least you can do - in fact, that’s the bare minimum. To everyone who liked, commented, and reposted - thank you, truly. Your support means more than I can put into words.

HDFC has literally crossed ALL limits now. My dad has been locked out of his own account for more than 2 weeks - and no one at HDFC has a clue what’s going on. 20+ calls. Multiple branch visits. Forms LOST. Imperia customer care? Useless. RM? MIA. No wonder the CEO left. Here’s what happened. He’s been an Imperia customer for ~6 years. He recently turned 60 and opened a senior citizen account. On 2nd April, he got the welcome kit message - all normal. The same evening, an alert comes in for a 50-leaf cheque book request. Something he NEVER placed. We called Imperia customer care - they advised to block everything. NetBanking blocked. Mobile Banking blocked. Full account access gone. 3rd April - visited Marine Drive branch, submitted request to unblock. Waited a week. Nothing. 7th April - went again because NetBanking STILL didn’t work. They said everything is fine, probably a technical issue. Next day - STILL NOT WORKING. Called customer care again - now they say a separate NetBanking reactivation form is required. How is a customer supposed to know this? Why was this not done in the first TWO visits? 10th April - went AGAIN to Bhulabhai Desai branch. Filled and submitted the NetBanking form. After that - nothing. 14th April - branch calls saying the form has been misplaced and asks us to VISIT AGAIN. They LOST the form. And their solution? Come again. At this point, what exactly is going on? These are prime South Mumbai branches - no acknowledgement, no tracking, forms getting lost, and a different answer every time. What exactly is “Imperia” here? Honestly - who is hiring these people? And who is trusting them to handle customers? This is not just bad service anymore - this is making customers run in circles for weeks. At this point, we don’t even want the account back - just give access to OUR OWN MONEY so we can move it out and close this account. You’ve made this an absolute nightmare. It genuinely feels like the MOST INCOMPETENT bank in the country. Thanks for the harassment - especially of a senior citizen. Fix this, @HDFC_Bank and @HDFCBank_Cares.

If you don’t have a Mac and are trying to keep up with cutting edge AI, you literally can’t. Everything is Mac only or Mac first. This is a huge deal. Leading AI products are essentially built for Mac, with everything else being an afterthought. This is significant

@piperocktheory @uxerik_ I have not seen even a single person using iPod in last decade. While I have seen thousands of people using iphones. So no there is no big demand for ipod amongst general public.

@uxerik_ There is a huge market for modded iPods now and plenty of other audiophile brands have stepped in to take Apple’s place. There is absolutely a demand still, and Apple marketing this as a one-off limited thing would be massive.

said this a million times but Apple are idiots for not doing a 25th anniversary iPod this year clickwheel, multiple colors, Apple Music, Bluetooth and AirPods support, a good DAC and storage up to 2 TB just to appease the audiophiles — boom, you have the product of Christmas 26

@TrulyMonica What's surprising in that? A lot of movies Amir Khan did were official or stolen remakes of Hollywood flicks.

🇮🇳 India is on the verge of economic collapse, and almost nobody is talking about it. Pepe Escobar just laid it all out. "If I remember correctly, they have less than a month of reserves. I think it's 20 days or something. It's nothing. They are desperate. They depend on Russian oil now." If the Strait of Hormuz closes, India doesn't have a plan B. @RealPepeEscobar
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal

🇨🇳🇮🇷 The UAE sent a diplomat to China to demand Beijing drop Iran as a strategic partner. Pepe Escobar says Xi Jinping sent him home with a clear message. "You cannot tell the Chinese, especially in their seat of power in Beijing, who they have to associate with." They treated him like a punk. Beijing doesn't take orders. @RealPepeEscobar

India becoming an SUV-heavy market is honestly strange. Narrow roads, tight cities, chaotic parking and everything points to smaller cars. But aspiration > practicality here. We don’t buy for utility. We buy for how it makes us feel we’ve “arrived.”

There is an ongoing research movement in India specifically at ARCI Hyderabad & IISc Bangalore to bypass these imports using High-Entropy Alloys (HEAs). Instead of 1 base metal (like Iron) with tiny additives, HEAs mix 5 or more metals in equal parts. These alloys do. not follow traditional physics; they get stronger as they get hotter. If India perfects HEAs, they could bypass the need for specific export-controlled alloys from the West, effectively creating a material autarky that would make the Parliamentary Committee's current fears obsolete in near future. I understand HEAs are not yet a mature, drop-in replacement for most export-controlled/critical alloys used in defense/aerospace/high-performance applications, but let us hope for the best.

@Fintech03 $11 per car. Rs 900. Ford was just dumb enough to write the math down. This calculation happens in every Indian factory where safety costs got cut. We lose 48,000 workers a year. Same cost-benefit logic, no memo.

A few yrs ago, I came across a case study on corporate ethics that I have not been able to shake off since. The 2000/2000 Rule & what followed is still cited as a textbook example of unethical corporate decision-making. In the late 1960s, Ford’s President, Lee Iacocca, set a ruthless engineering goal for the Pinto: it must weigh under 2000 pounds & cost under $2000. This 2000/2000 mandate created a design trap. To save weight & cost, engineers placed the fuel tank behind the rear axle, just inches from the rear bumper. In rear-end collisions at even 20-30 mph, the bumper would buckle, the fuel tank would be pushed forward into the differential (which had protruding bolts), & the tank would puncture like a balloon. The car would instantly turn into a "Fire Trap." Ford’s bean counters conducted a cost-benefit analysis to decide whether to fix the defect (at a cost of $11/car). The Math of the Macabre: Cost to Fix: 12.5M vehicles * $11 = $137M Estimated Benefit (Savings from Lawsuits): 180 Burn Deaths (valued at $200K each) = $36M 180 Burn Injuries (valued at $67K each) = $12.06M 2100 Torched Vehicles (valued at $700 each) = $1.47M Total Savings: $49.5M Ford concluded that it was $87.5M cheaper to let people burn to death & pay the lawsuits than to spend $11 per car on a plastic baffle to protect the tank. This remains 1 of the darkest chapters in automotive history & is still taught in business ethics & engineering ethics courses worldwide.

JioStar (Ambani) pays BCCI Rs. 8,732 crore for the IPL rights yearly. From that same pool, BCCI distributes the franchise share. MI (Ambani) receive around Rs. 436.6 crore. So the money comes in and goes back to the same ownership. It is not ideal to have the same ownership owning both a franchise and the broadcast rights. This is a conflict of interest. Thoughts?
