One of the best parts about this fundraise is the fact that @NexusVP - the investment firm that led our Series A - is co-leading our Series F as well! @suvirsujan and the team have been pivotal in Zepto's journey since practically Day 1 (even being involved in naming the company 😁 ). I genuinely don't think we would have achieved this milestone without them. @SienamAhuja @sajithpai @ku1deep @SeekingN0rth I agree with Salesforce being a powerhouse, yet the next best is probably doing 1/10th if not lesser. Freshworks have dedicated SIs & a custom market-place function, would they ever scale to Salesforce level revenues from India? I highly doubt it

@manavbs @sajithpai @ku1deep @SeekingN0rth 1. Because Salesforce is customizable , the resellers mint money customizing. In that respect Salesforce behaves like ERP 2. Salesforce has the largest number of app integrations in its marketplace - solutions cover breadth and depth. It’s a powerhouse.

The first time I met @ku1deep (in the Bay Area strangely) he asked me a quiz q - who is salesforce's 2nd (or so, i think) largest account (hint : they are in Pune). That led to a riveting convo, and then one between him and Rohit Kaul @SeekingN0rth and the result is this terrific mythbusting piece on why you *can* build a large-enough saas biz in India. To SaaS or not to SaaS in India? That is the billion-dollar question! The size and potential of the Indian SaaS market is a hotly debated topic. But Kuldeep (@ku1deep) of @last9io and Rahul Sasi (@fb1h2s) of @cloudsek believe that India has a large and growing SaaS appetite. However, selling in India is not for the faint of heart. Blume's @vigneshjsarma and @SeekingN0rth spoke to Kuldeep and Rahul to remove the lid from the secret sauce of selling SaaS in the Indian market. Here are some of their favorites from what they heard: • Don't pay for Zoom; pay for air tickets. You'll see a 20% to 30% ACV expansion. • Make your customers part of your story. After all, both of you are Indian companies. • Are you measuring cost per meeting? You should! • Hire a great finance person (yes, it impacts your GTM) • If you price yourself low, no one will value your product. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
