@AvonandsomerRob Cornwall. Lovely place but the traffic was horrendous. Queued up for 3 days on the trot to visit the Eden project before admitting defeat. Scarpered back up north at midnight just to avoid the traffic.
@364690 Just buy a 40 year old classic. No tax, mot, cheap insurance and fix it yourself with bed spanner’s and a haynes manual. No major repairs and more smiles per gallon.
@KazzJenkins I used to work for Argos home delivery. We delivered more appliances to black people who have only just entered the country than I’ve had hot dinners. Don’t know who pays for it all but the black people couldn’t believe their luck.
About 15 years ago, a Somalian family moved into my neighbourhood. They had nothing.
Within days, their house was pretty much fully furnished with each of us giving what we could.
My neighbourhood just went Reform.
What happened?
@CarManToday Nobody’s going to ban them but the people who drive them are getting less and less every year. Some cars from the sixties are definitely not selling as well as they did 10 years ago.
@idriveaclassic I used to work for Austin Rover and they used to put a piece of foam between the front wing and body to stop noise. Sadly foam holds water and eventually rots the front wings before it’s too late.
Rover Metro (Rover 100) - a much maligned modern British classic!

Is it high time we gave the humble Metro a bit more love? In today’s video we discover one of those cars which was once everywhere but is now a very rare spot indeed!
Segundo os arquivos divulgados pela NASA os alienígenas são extremamente avançados tecnologicamente, e podem adquirir a forma humana para viver camuflado entre nós.
Eu sempre suspeitei que essa mulher não fosse do planeta Terra!
a friend’s parents bought their house in 1993 for $67,000
same house is worth $1,200,000 today
he’s their only son
spent years quietly knowing that house was coming to him someday
they sold it last week
to fund their retirement
he found out over dinner
just sat there
nodded
said “that’s great mom”
went home and did the math
$1,200,000
gone before he ever touched it
boomers didn’t just win the housing market once
they won it twice
My wife cheated and walked away from our family. But it didn’t last. He kicked her out, and now she has nothing. Our kids live with me, and they’re hurting watching their mother struggle. They love her, and I respect that.
Family and friends keep telling me I should help her for the sake of the kids because I have the resources.
But another part of me feels sick even thinking about it. Because this woman shattered me. She lied, betrayed me, and abandoned our family.
And now that her fantasy collapsed, am I supposed to rescue her?
What if helping her only pulls me back into the same pain I barely survived?
Coach should I take her back?

As Gordon comes in to “save” the economy it’s worth remembering 2010,
when Nigel Farage was an MEP in the European Parliament and Gordon Brown was Prime Minister.
Starmer thinks we’ve forgotten. We haven’t!
GLORIOUS 🔥
@BritIndianVoice Because one of the waiters had a mouth ulcer and hadn’t eaten for days so the chef whipped up a super mild curry using Heinz tomato soup. Get your facts right.
Britain's national dish is Chicken Tikka Masala.
Not fish and chips.
Not a Sunday roast.
Not a cream tea.
Chicken. Tikka. Masala.
A dish invented by British Indians.
In a restaurant in Glasgow.
Because a customer complained the curry was too dry.
And now it outsells every other dish in Britain.
We didn't just feed Britain.
We changed the way Britain tastes.
The way Britain smells.
The way Britain eats.
You're welcome. 🌶️🇬🇧🇮🇳

@LUDENClassics Maybe there’s a fuse for the mileage and if it’s not fitted the mileage flashes. Which would be pretty annoying and warrant sticking a bit of black tape over it. Is there any paperwork to back up this low mileage ?
Today in my high school auto shop I am demonstrating using the induction heater rather than a torch to remove a rusted and frozen nut. These induction heaters work well and can be much safer than using a torch as long as you have the room to get the coil onto the fastener or stud you’re trying to heat up. They are really a nice tool to have.
@ToriatheistTori In the UK we have free healthcare but sadly it’s been abused by the freeloaders and grifters for a number of years and is now very poorly itself. No amount of tax money thrown at it will fix it.
