@beedle_melissa @Surrey_Schools @MaddaughSD36 I buy most of my materials off Amazon. The LED lights will last you for countless years and I use the copper tape for various projects. The only yearly cost is the 3V battery for each student. Here’s a great resource to help get you started: scarfedigitalsandbox.teach.educ.ubc.ca/paper-circuits/

Grade 5/6 students made light up Mother’s Day cards complete with adorable puns! We used copper tape, 3V coin cell batteries, and LED light emitting diodes to create these paper circuits. So much learning and problem solving for love. ❤️ #sd36learn #papercircuits #STEM #ADST

@janeteacher2 Absolutely. I’ve moved over to the convenience of Microsoft Teams as well… so much easier collaborating with Surrey teachers. It’s also great for distance or online learning if need be.

Div. 4 took on principal @Vendram1n in a Mystery Skype! Students worked as a team to ask and answer questions to reveal clues about their opponent’s mystery number. Collab with a teacher to see numeracy skills and #corecompetencies in action! @MaddaughSD36 @Surrey_Schools

@T_Saito1 I’m up for a round anytime! We can also do this with a mystery location! Each class picks a country in the world. Students use planners and ask directional and geographical questions. (Above/below equator, national language, continent, nearby bodies of water, climate)

@mandeepR41 Also, does each team have a secret number and it is a race to see who guesses it first?

@janeteacher2 I don’t limit the number of questions we ask as long as it’s one at a time and opponent always gets a question after we ask one. If a team guesses the right answer you can continue or stop there. Part of the challenge is using math language to communicate a yes or no question!
