The desire for wanting stronger and healthier communities is often referred to as “anti-police” rhetoric or so called “hate” towards the police. There is nothing wrong with critically examining the mythical expectations and unrealistic ideals of our current system of safety.

video: Iranian rapper Toomaj Salehi criticizes the Reza Pahlavi movement for silencing opposition voices. " If the monarchist movement suppresses its opponents, silences its critics, and attacks even those who simply choose not to endorse it through insults, accusations, and character assassination how can it credibly promise a free future to the people of Iran? " video Translated via Kurd Alarm at telegram : t.me/KurdAlarm --------------------------------- ((( توماج صالحی: جریان پادشاهی ها مخالفین خودش رو سرکوب کنه، منتقدین خودش رو سرکوب کنه و حتی کسایی رو که در تعییدش صحبت نمی کنن توسط فهاشی، تهمت، ترور شخصیتی سرکوبی می کنه چطور می خواد فردایی آزاد رو به مردم ایران وعده بده )))

These people dont even know anything about the country they are pretending to speak for. Much of the province of Sistan and Baluchestan is culturally South Asian. They put curry in their food and dress like people do in Pakistan. This is not new. You just didnt know it.
Goldie Ghamari | گلسا قمری 🇮🇷@gghamari

Half of these terrorists aren't even Iranian. They're imported from other countries. These ones look like they are from Pakistan. Garbage people, Garbage ideology.

The monarchist supporters seem to do everything in their power to position themselves as the most hated faction within the Iranian context. The Savak was a horrible institution; a secret police notorious for torturing Iranians: especially minorities. Interestingly enough: the Iranian revolution which toppled the Shah and brought Khameini to power found major popular support among the Iranian people because of the resentments from the Iranian people against the Savak which has become synonymous with the Monarchist regime.

The flag of the Shah’s dreaded secret police, the SAVAK, makes an appearance in Toronto, Canada 😳

A Tehran resident who at first supported the war because of anger at the gov: “I was always against these people and thought it would be limited and finished fast,” she said. “I regret that and take it back. They are turning the country into ruins.” nbcnews.com/world/iran/lif…

Some segments of the Iranian diaspora cheering Iran’s destruction reflect a deeper identity politics. As Vali Nasr notes, they seek distance from the “Global South” and aspire to a Western—often white—political identity. Support for Israel or even MAGA politics is “integration.”

Another one that wildly assumes I am not Iranian and engages in anti-Arab sentiments. The logic here is that other countries should be in the middle of our politics 😂
Eriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii@Eriiiiiiii43750

@mandi_pn Iranians are not Arabs. Move on. We will decide for own future. We do not need Arabs to middle in our politics.

This is so hilarious. I am sure you have picked up on this. But this wild camp of folks relay on one thing and one thing only —to attempt to violently discredit other rhetorics that go against their fantasy. To bad I am a proud Iranian and will definitely not move on
Fay@FarzanehHeidar2

It’s also the same people cheering that are defending militarized policing here at home. Armored police, ICE raids, mass incarceration, surveillance of communities. Liberation isn’t a geopolitical talking point. This is selective outrage. But sure “wE’rE nOt LiKe ThEm.”

It’s absolutely wild watching people talk about “liberating women” when talking about places like Iran. While blatantly ignoring the gender-based violence, over-policing, and state power that harm women in the West every day.

Selective condemnation.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

I just spoke with President @EmmanuelMacron about the situation in the Middle East. We condemned Iran’s strikes against civilians and civilian infrastructure, and underscored the importance of opening secure access through the Strait of Hormuz. Canada supports efforts to safeguard international shipping and ensure freedom of navigation.
