Exact correct sentiment here by @jemelehill. Fact: @ShamsCharania does not work for Amazon or the NBA. He did nothing wrong. His job is to scoop anyone he can on NBA News and that’s exactly what he did. What if he hadn’t done it and someone else did before the broadcast. Would anyone be in front of his honchos imploring them to give @ShamsCharania a pass because he got scooped? Leave that man alone. Shams did his job.

Love Chuck, but he’s wrong. Shams doesn’t work for Amazon, or the NBA. His job is to report the news. It’s called a scoop. And I hate that the lines in journalism have become so blurred that people truly don’t recognize what the role of a journalist actually is.

And yet we are not talking about the fact that Black voters and voting power in the South and in the CBC are on the verge of being extinguished or diminished greatly.
As I mentioned weeks ago… there were 2 windows to release this damn thing so as to be meaningful and not a big distraction and this moment is not one of those windows.
Today there will be folks tweeting 10-15 times today about this report and have probably only discussed southern redistricting a handful of times (if that) since Callais. ( And apparently, we are not capable of doing both at the same time.)

The elites never really understood Joe Biden. They looked down on the old man from Delaware because he wasn’t one of them. He didn’t kiss the ring, chase the spotlight, or sell out his constituents for a few dollars.
He went home to his kids. He kept his word. He did the work. And that’s what eats at Vietor, Axelrod, Favreau, and the rest of that crowd.
Joe Biden got more done in four years than their guy did in eight. And let’s be honest, a lot of what their guy got done as president happened because Joe Biden had the relationships, the trust, and the ability to turn handshakes into votes.
That’s the truth they hate.

I listed a bunch of athletes who have done the same thing Caitlin Clark. The NFL is roughly 60 percent Black and Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Myles Garrett walked out with Morgan Wallen. Trump has praised the Chiefs, and Mahomes specifically.
So again, what’s the difference?

@jemelehill Because she's an athlete, Wallen's been associated with Trump (right or wrong, not much evidence either way. Fanbase definitely is), Clark's been praised by Trump, her league largely consists of people of color, and teammates'/colleagues' orientation attacked by Trump policies

WELP. Went to okvoterportal.okelections.gov to look at the sample ballot for the upcoming elections. When none came up, I remembered I no longer get to vote in ANY primaries in #oklahoma as a registered independent.😭

Listen, at any other time in American history, I understand the civil dispute that is valid for vetting a candidate. But if you have not been watching the news lately, WE ARE NO LONGER THERE ANYMORE. There is a qualified Black Woman running for Governor of Ga.
Every win right now is about stopping the intentional destruction, dismantling, and erasure of Black people in the United States of America.
We do not have time for infighting.
We have a qualified candidate who is polling above every other person running. So what are we doing?
This is not the time for ego, division, personal feelings, or purity tests.
This is survival.
This is strategy.
This is about protecting Black communities, Black rights, Black futures, and Black political power.
The people working against us are organized.
The people attacking us are coordinated.
Meanwhile, we are debating each other while the clock is running out.
We do not have time for this anymore.

With due respect @jrpsaki, I think maybe we spoke once while you were at the White House… so I’m not sure how you would know what I thought. But since you’re curious: I believed the DNC should have been empowered to do its job, organize aggressively not just in the midterms (but also the presidential cycle), communicate directly with the base, and operate as a PARTNER, not a subsidiary whose tweets, press releases, and routine decisions required constant White House approval. We raised historic amounts and when I did try to ruthlessly define the opposition we were told by folks in WH comms or the Deputy Chief we couldn’t or that our approach or rhetoric was too sharp. I never sought a policy role but if I thought a policy didn’t make sense politically, particularly for minority communities I respectfully made it known. But I digress…

I have seen a lot of mixed reviews of him as a tactical basketball coach. But I find JB Bickerstaff to be incredibly likeable. His constant whining to the refs just endears him to me even more. He can’t help himself. He wants his team to have success more than anything.
Really pulling for him here. Would love for him to be the longterm solution.

@WalshFreedom Bibi was charged with fraud and bribery. He used his power to delay and try to kneecap the oversight of the courts in Israel. He had to align himself more with the far right in his own country that has done horrible things in the West Bank long before Gaza and 10/7/23.

I’m not a fan of Bibi, I called for him to step down 2wks after Oct 7th, but I would remind everyone who thinks Bibi is solely responsible for the sizable drop in support for Israel among the American people: The anti-Israel/pro Hamas protests in America & Europe began on Oct 8th. On Oct 8th. The day AFTER 1,200 Israelis were butchered, massacred, killed, burned alive, and taken hostage. The anti-Israel protests began on Oct 8th. BEFORE Israel even responded to the terrorist attack. And those anti-Israel protests grew and grew way before Israel’s response really kicked in. So there’s something else going on here besides anti-Netanyahu stuff. Something much uglier, much more ancient, and much darker.

INDIAN POPULATION SURGES IN NORTH TEXAS - Frontlines TPUSA reporter @Savsays took a recent trip to Frisco, TX where she got an inside look into the growing Indian population.
Back in 2010 the Indian/Asian population made up 10% of the demographic but that has since surged to over 30% with some school districts now being majority Asian.
On top of the growing demographic of Indians to the area has come a growing number of Hindu temples and the Karya Siddhi Hanuman Temple is one of the largest.
This temple was built around the so-called monkey-god, Hanuman, and inside attendees were praying for “health and job visas.”
Many Texans are pointing out how quickly the Indian population is growing and say it is changing not only the demographics but also the culture of Texas.
