my aunt was actually killed because of this 😭
my late aunt was HIV positive and she was a hair dresser. all her clients knew her status and still chose her coz she was that good with hair. there was only one accident that happened and it scarred me til this day.
a client of hers had an sores on her head due to excessive scratching (removing dandruff) but they were not bad enough for her to not want to do her hair. she was getting her hair braided into cornrows using the needle method. the needle accidentally pricked my aunt but not in a significant way.
she didn’t notice that she had a slow bleed and proceeded to do the lady’s hair. fast forward weeks later, the woman confronts my aunt blaming her for infecting her and her boyfriend beating her up because he couldn’t believe that she wasn’t cheating. the lady stabbed my aunt to de@th in her home and proceeded to h*ng herself 💔💔💔

What's so perplexing about Clarence Thomas is that he benefited from affirmative action during his admission to Yale Law School in 1971. Yale aimed to increase minority enrollment to roughly 10% of the class. He later decided that wasn't a good thing.
Clarence Thomas benefited from affirmative action. Then he decided, no other black person should.
Self-hatred is a helluva drug.
