Atefeh Rajabi Sahaaleh, was a 16 year old girl from Neka in Iran's Mazandaran Province. A lovely happy girl enjoying her life. One day while travelling in a taxi she was arrested by the morality police for not wearing a hijab. She endured days of torture and rape at the hands of Captains Zabihi and Molai, who later confessed to misconduct amid family complaints and global outrage. Brought before Judge Haji Reza, stumbling and bleeding from repeated assaults, she begged Judge Reza for justice and punishment of her tormentors. Instead he passed a sentence for her to be executed for the crime of Adultery and Chastity.(The poor girl was raped and tortured in captivity) In defiance of her death sentence, she tore off her hijab and threw it at his feet. On August 15, 2004, she was publicly hanged from a crane in Neka's town square. (The judge himself later admitted to raping and torturing her during interrogations.) Such was life under Khamenei's rule. #AtefehSahaaleh #IranProtests #WomenLifeFreedom Women like you should have been sent to Iran when Khameini was alive.

Sitting in India right now, watching the world burn in real time. US & Israel striking Iran. Iran retaliating across the Gulf. Russia-Ukraine still raging. Pakistan-Afghanistan tensions simmering. Missiles flying over Tehran, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar. And here I am, safe at home on a Saturday evening, in a democratic, peaceful country, worrying about none of this at my doorstep. We don't say this enough - we are incredibly lucky. Not perfect, not without problems. But at peace. That's not a small thing in 2026.

This PG-1 who joined my college, finished his duty hours & went off home to rest. A (toxic) senior of my unit called him 12 times at night to put up morning notes. He picked up at the 13th time & told him politely “Sir, I have finished my duty, if you want to be toxic towards me wait for 5 more hours till I resume my duty. Stop calling me, it is pathetic behaviour”. GenZ are GOATS. I am speechless.

Radiology PG seat is the cream... I thought you needed to be in the top to get general seats. But look at this: if you can shell out money and if you are an NRI, the general merit seats also gets relaxed and the rank can go till a lakh... But everyone thinks SC, ST, and OBCs are the reason for this... The real reason is blatant commercialization of medical education... Will you talk about that or still keep blaming reservations?

Around 12 noon today, a couple rushed into Medicine Casualty holding their 3-year-old. The child had fallen off a table; his wrist was visibly deformed, likely a clean break. He was crying inconsolably, surrounded by 4 or 5 frantic relatives. "Doctor, treat my child fast!" they shouted. I immediately assessed the situation. As a Medicine resident, I am neither an orthopedician nor a pediatrician. I knew that I was not in a position to manage this situation. I calmly told them: "This is Medicine Casualty. Please turn left, the Orthopedic Casualty is right there. Since you have many people with you, have one person take the child there immediately while another goes to the counter for a ticket so the doctors can order X-rays and meds." That’s when the shouting started. "You good-for-nothing doctors! Can’t you see this is an emergency? Why do we need a ticket?" My junior rushed over to help, only to be met with threats: "Treat him immediately or things will get bad for you." Then, the phones came out. Cameras were shoved in our faces. "Look at these doctors refusing to treat a child!" Here is the context a 30-second viral video would miss: 1. I was directing them to the correct specialist only 3 minutes away. 2. Without a hospital ID/ticket, the Ortho team can't even log an X-ray request into the system. 3. Staying in Medicine Casualty was actually delaying the child's care. To de-escalate, I eventually had to leave my own post unattended to personally escort them to the Ortho wing and explain the situation to the doctors there. Hours later, after the child was stabilized, the family returned to apologize. I appreciate the apology, but the damage of those "recorded" moments lingers. This is the daily reality for doctors: being vilified for following the very protocols that ensure a patient gets the right treatment from the right specialist. Before you share a "doctor refusing treatment" video, ask yourself: Are they refusing, or are they trying to get the patient to the help they actually need?

It’s only been five days since my wife joined obg and she’s already working from 7 AM to 9 PM every single day with no off. As a husband it hurts to see this. I genuinely want to ask why are there no off days? Is this what every first-year resident goes through? #NEETPG

For those asking "Is this even legal?"Here is the regulatory breakdown: 1️⃣ NABH Norms: Explicitly state AYUSH practitioners cannot write independent orders or perform clinical duties in an Allopathic setup without direct supervision. 2️⃣ NMC Standards: Critical Care is the domain of Modern Medicine. An "Intensivist" or ICU Resident must hold an MBBS/MD degree. 3️⃣ The Loophole: Hospitals hire them as "Clinical Assistants" (scribes) on paper to satisfy auditors, but force them to act as full Duty Doctors (RMOs) at night to save money. It is Malpractice disguised as cost-cutting.

PUBLIC AWARENESS 🚨 Next time you admit a loved one to a Corporate Hospital or Nursing Home ICU, ask one question: "Is the Night Duty Doctor MBBS/MD or AYUSH?" These facilities are quietly hiring Homeopaths (BHMS) and Ayurvedics (BAMS) for ICU duty to cut costs. These practitioners are NOT trained in: ❌ Ventilator Management ❌ Emergency Cardiology (ACLS) ❌ Modern Drug Interactions You have the right to know who is treating your family. Be an informed patient. Don't pay specialist prices for compromised safety. Know your rights.
