At least 190 rowdy sheeters tested positive for drugs during a crackdown by Hyderabad police on 250 offenders from the twin cities on Thursday, April 9. Hyderabad Commissioner of Police VC Sajjanar ordered the crackdown. Following the special drive, the rowdy sheeters who tested positive were sent to de-addiction centres. According to reports, there are 1,300 rowdy sheeters in the twin cities. The Hyderabad police plans to conduct another drive soon.

#Hyderabad: Major #drugbust at Hyderabad #Airport Two individuals have been arrested at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (@RGIAHyd) in a major crackdown on international #drugtrafficking. An #Indianpassenger arriving from #Bangkok on #ThaiAirways flight TG-329 was intercepted by Customs (AIU) based on behavioural profiling. 22 vacuum-sealed packets containing 13.2 kg of #hydroponicweed (worth approx. ₹4.6 crore) were seized under the #NDPS Act. In a follow-up operation, another accused believed to be the #mastermind, handling travel, #logistics, and instructions—was also arrested. #Investigation is ongoing.
