NIA has filed a 7,500-page chargesheet against 10 accused persons in the Red Fort area car bomb explosion case, in which 11 persons were killed, and several others were injured. The high-intensity Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Device (VBIED) blast that rocked the national capital on 10th November 2025 had also caused extensive damage to the property. All 10 accused, including the main perpetrator, Dr. Umer Un Nabi (deceased), were linked to the organisation Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind (AGuH) – an offshoot of the Al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent (AQIS), as per the charges filed before the NIA special court at Patiala House Courts in New Delhi. #RedFort

NIA has arrested wanted narco-terrorist Iqbal Singh alias Shera after successfully securing his extradition from Portugal following sustained diplomatic and legal efforts.   As per NIA, Mastermind in a major Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) terror financing case, Shera was brought to India today following the due legal process. He was taken into custody by an NIA team at the Delhi airport immediately on his arrival from Portgual, to where he had absconded in 2020. His successful extradition and arrest come as a major shot in the arm for NIA’s fight against Pakistan-backed narco and cross border terrorism.   #NIA

A Russian student who disappeared in the Himalayas in 2021 during a solo trek was discovered four years later by National Geographic journalists as the guardian of a high-altitude Buddhist monastery in Nepal. 24-year-old Alina Vetrova left Annapurna Base Camp and never returned. A rescue operation lasted three weeks, but an avalanche left her presumed dead. Her parents held a symbolic funeral in Novosibirsk. In early 2025, however, a crew filming a documentary about lost monasteries discovered a young European-looking woman dressed in monastic robes and speaking fluent Tibetan and Nepali in a remote mountain temple at an altitude of 4,800 meters. It turns out that Alina, who had lost consciousness from altitude sickness, was found by hermit monks, who cared for her for several months with herbal infusions. When she regained consciousness, the passes were already covered in snow - the descent was impossible until summer. During these months, she began to study Tibetan medicine and meditation. According to the abbot, Alina had developed a rare gift - she could accurately recognize medicinal mountain herbs by their aroma, which the monks took as a sign of a reborn soul. She was given the name Tenzin Dolma and began training to succeed the monastery's apothecary, a position not held by anyone for 40 years. Alina is now in charge of a collection of over 600 species of high-altitude plants. She wears a traditional burgundy robe, her head is shaved, and on her wrists she wears ritual yak bone bracelets, which she is allowed to wear as a sign of status. A dot of saffron paste is applied to her forehead daily during the morning ceremony. When journalists ask her if she wants to return, Alina replies in Russian with a strong accent: “I’m already home. The mountains do not let out those they choose.” Her parents have flown to Kathmandu. The meeting is scheduled for the end of the month.

As a Sikh, this hurts deeply. Our Gurus taught us sewa, humility, compassion and dignity for every human being. A Gurdwara is supposed to be the safest place for anyone in the world - regardless of religion, language, nationality or appearance. If celebrities, influencers or powerful people are allowed to click pictures and roam freely, but ordinary families or tourists are insulted, threatened or humiliated publicly in the name of “beadbi,” then something is going terribly wrong. Faith should inspire respect, not fear. No innocent man, woman or child should leave a holy place carrying trauma, embarrassment or hatred in their heart. A few radicals do not represent Sikhi. Please don’t let anger and mob behaviour damage the image of a religion built on sacrifice, equality and humanity. We must condemn such acts openly instead of defending them just because “our side” did it.
