Every year on this day we commemorate civilians and soldiers who have died in war or during peacekeeping missions since the beginning of World War II.   The crew of HNLMS De Ruyter, laid a wreath in Kochi, signifying that distance away from home does not diminish the importance of the day.   Tonight, at 20:00CET in the Netherlands we will observe 2 minutes of silence: we remember.

🌍 India–Netherlands Dialogue on Ashwagandha 🌿 Representatives from India’s Ministry of Ayush and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands met in New Delhi today to discuss the way forward on proposed regulatory measures concerning the use of #Ashwagandha in food supplements. The discussions took into account newly compiled scientific safety data and explored the future course of bilateral technical engagement. The Indian side highlighted the long-standing use and significance of Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) in traditional health practices and food products. It also shared that steps have been taken to ensure its safe use and emphasized that decisions should be guided by a balanced and evidence-based approach. The Dutch side reaffirmed its commitment to carefully reviewing the available evidence and underscored the importance of science-based decision-making.
