Despite this fake meme that all dogs are amazing...and it's trendy to pretend to believe it...a la virtue signaling.
Most dogs are now parasites. Biological emotional pacifiers for lonely women in their 20s and 30s who, instead of having a healthy normal attachment to a man, marriage, and children, instead travel, drink wine, and sleep with men with no verbal statement of commitment, partly facilitated by doggie dates and dog parks.
And for the "nice" women who get "rescue" dogs...the dogs dampen the women's reproductive drive...giving them something low maintenance to care about instead of the responsibility of a family.

This is actually true...
I have seen many low neuroticism women, I specifically recall the MD/PhD from my med school, but also many surgical residents etc...who:
Just get on with it. They have their kids, they pursue their careers...and everything...is...just...fine. Their kids are happy and thriving, their husbands accommodate.
The only "feminism" they take advantage of is the few weeks before delivery they take off and their maternity leave.
Otherwise they were smart, competent, and happy, with kids in their lives.
Now this is before DEI forced the med schools and residencies to start encouraging and accepting less qualified women and minorities. I have also seen, more recently, grossly incompetent women "mentored" into sub speciality surgery, and who are suffering the grind of the unqualified, incompetent, person in a job that, if you are bad at it, will hurt a lot of people.
But for most women, just get on with it.

One of the things I hate about vacations is the thing that people like about them and it’s that it takes me away from reality. Every now and then you need it and that’s fine, but modern women’s obsession with it is because they have nothing but the fleeting.
