Working in screen printing and apparel and knowing how unsustainable prints like this are + the amount of textile waste these one-off shirts produce… Whew our life on this planet will be a short one

@kokoroks A screenprint shouldn’t flake off unless it’s vintage or cured improperly. Youre probably thinking of DTF/DTG, it’s an image made with a printer w/ no color limitation that’s then adhered to the shirt with adhesives/plastic

@manofwhimsy my only other question is screen printing the type that flakes off? I always get so nervous wearing those types of shirts because i dont wanna ruin it 💔

@kokoroks This is not to discourage or discredit DIY printing btw, there’s tons of ways to be mindful of the material and textile waste when it comes to screen printing (using water based inks, non toxic chemicals, printing on thrifted clothing, etc)

@kokoroks Screen printing! Shirts printed in small quantities with more than one color are usually DTF or DTG, two toxic & wasteful printing methods. But the most sustainable way to print… is not at all!
