Paying tribute to a legendary musician, singer and composer Zubeen Garg He will always be remembered for his contributions to the culture of Assam and the Northeast.

Inspected the site where Zubeen will be put to rest, a while back. My officers will be working throughout the night and tomorrow to prepare the site for his funeral day after. All necessary works like Earth filling, boundary, etc will be done to preserve the place's sanctity. #BelovedZubeen

तथाकथित नेशनल मीडिया देश की संवेदना से किस कदर अनजान व कटा हुआ है इसका प्रमाण यही है कि पूर्वोत्तर के इस शताब्दी के सबसे बड़े शोक से पूरी तरह बेख़बर मीडिया एक क्रिकेट मैच के महिमागान में जुटा हुआ है। दावे के साथ कह सकता हूँ कि मैंने अपने जीवन में किसी कलाकार के लिए यह पागलपन यह प्रेम नहीं देखा जैसा ज़ुबीन को लेकर आसाम और पूर्वोत्तर में है। दो दिन से एक पूरा प्रदेश ग़म में जैसे ठहर सा गया है, गलियाँ-सड़क-चौराहे भरे पड़े हैं उसके रोते-बिलखते चाहने वालों से। मुख्यमंत्री से लेकर गोद में शिशु लेकर रास्तों पर खड़ी माँएँ उसके गाने गा-गाकर रो रहीं हैं। लेकिन नेशनल मीडिया में किसी ने इस महान कलाकार के अपने लोगों से इस कदर जुड़ाव पर कोई विशेष कार्यकम नहीं किया। खैर ज़ुबीन का काम और नाम इन लोगों की आत्ममुग्धता से बहुत बड़ा है 💔🙏 “तुम्हारी बज़्म से बाहर भी एक दुनिया है, मेरे हुज़ूर बड़ा जुर्म है ये बेख़बरी…।” 👎🏿

Had a productive discussion with Smti Neerja Sekhar, IAS, Director General of the National Productivity Council (NPC), during her visit to Guwahati today. We explored potential areas for collaboration with NPC, including MSMEs, agribusiness, fisheries, energy audits, and more. Also deliberated potential partnership with the Assam Administrative Staff College (AASC) to enhance manpower skilling across various state government departments. Additionally, we also discussed the possible study by NPC on Assam's Bamboo Technology Park and to help prepare a comprehensive report.
