Two dads helped lead Camp Mystic parents to push for new camp laws. For one, staying busy kept him from dark places in his mind. The other couldn't stop asking why his daughter died. The laws passed, but the dads couldn't get their kids back. My latest: texastribune.org/2025/09/16/tex…

Texas Rep. @jamestalarico kicks off his U.S. Senate campaign tonight in Round Rock, his hometown. Hundreds of people are here, including his baby niece. Talarico says that in the 12 hours since he launched, they’ve raised over $1 million (!). #txsen

In the last week I’ve been pepper sprayed; I’ve had flashbangs knock out my eardrums; I’ve seen protesters beaten, choked and arrested (footage from Monday’s protest 4/29 ⬇️ TW: violence). It’s been a hell of a week.

“It felt like an insult,” Jenna, a psychology senior told me. She’s not the only one who feels that way — at a teach-in yesterday, students, faculty and notable figures condemned the University’s response to Wednesday’s pro-Palestine protest on campus. thedailytexan.com/2024/04/26/stu…
