Ten years ago I stopped posting to this account because I was ready to move beyond Twitter. I think we've built something unique over at Micro.blog. An open platform based on blogs, community principles, that peers with Mastodon too. Made by people who love the web.

@ArnoavecunO Tweet Marker knows about your account (from the client), but it's not linked/authorized in Twitter's UI like a normal app.

If you think about what you post here as a story, when viewed over years, it just makes sense for the last tweet to matter.

We recorded a special episode of @coreint that will go live tomorrow. That's (partly) why I picked tomorrow as my last day here on Twitter.

@jtdavis Still having sync problems? Tweet Marker seems okay, so let me know if it's still not working.

I've had some people ask if I'll turn off the Tweet Marker API. Answer: no way. I'm very proud of Tweet Marker and the clients that use it.

@duncan Yeah, maybe a little of both. And even today, there's something special about Twitter, even if I feel like it has lost its way.

@Padraig I'm really liking Wedge for Mac.

@chrisdejabet Nope! Tweet Marker is alive and well. No plans for any change there now that clients and users depend on it.

@macguitar @antichrista That is my concern as well. :-) Which is why I'm making a point to mention leaving; it kinda holds me accountable.

@MoervYO Not happy with the leadership at Twitter and the direction against many third-party developers.

@blanquepixel In some ways, RSS is better since there's less chance of missing something important. But Twitter-like has more community.
