This is the problem with all the AI “security researchers”, they get “tricked” by Claude that something is valid, and then don’t report it because they know it’s bs. Because the real goal is clout on Twitter not security research.

It’s worth noting that apple iMessage has also had zero days found please check the dates. These have never been submitted or reported to any vendor, I just wanted to find out if it was possible because my goal was to challenge myself. @luminousmind_co @cursor_ai Spot on. Pure AST is brittle against zero-days. That window is exactly where our secondary engine kicks in: a local, quantized LLM. We still use a probabilistic layer for the novel stuff, but by running it offline, we keep proprietary code out of 3rd-party clouds.

@manuelito_ash @cursor_ai noted. the part I'm most curious about is the 'known 80%' line. what happens to the AST model when the codebase evolves fast enough that the pattern inventory can't keep up? that's the window where you'd still need the probabilistic layer.
