Watch your steps, son.” MINDSET. Kupanga ni KUCHAGUA yes. Mimi ndomana niliamua path ya “I plan to build influence and sell my own products rather than 👇

This is deep. The most important thing is to define your path and what you stand for. Engagement is engagement "Evil" or "Good" is a matter of perception. Just be ready to live with the consequences. The challenge is when you want to be "Good" and "Evil" at the same time operating with a struggling digital identity trying to impress people or certain social classes will ruin your brand. Even being "Evil" has a strategy. Basic Things... Choose three words you want to be known for e.g. Innovation, Tech and Entrepreneurship... link together strategically and build the foundation of your identity... Don't try to be everything to everyone. Focus on your primary audience. That's where you convert; gigs, opportunities, networks, etc. Hence before you chose "Good" or "Evil", ask yourself what is your strategy to convert your audience into cash. It is not about "how many" followers you have (it matters some how) mostly importantly "what type" of followers you have. Your audience defines your opportunity... Think long-term and short-term, the quick returns can be handsome but the overall long-term damage can be catastrophic. I have friends who are trying to undo their previous brand identity on social media to fit in with their current life hustles but they can't. In 2017, we wanted to give a handaome gig to one of the male digital influencers to push the agenda of Gender Based Violence (GBV)...just to realize the guy was openly promoting GBV online...but offline he wanted to look ethical...we almost lost the project...we had to terminate the contract with the guy... Choose your path wisely... Kupanga ni kuchagua...

I don’t think you should talk about businesses people are building not being “big-enough problem to make business sense” if you have never built a big business yourself. Founders are working hard to build. Let them build. The day you build something relevant then you can talk.

What are your achievements this year? No matter how small give urself some credits.
