This is the face of the judge that is sending innocent people to jail because he fear that no one should be able to challenge his paymaster Tinubu. I am sure he has a family who he love so much. This judge must also understand that he is putting the lives of his family at risk if anything should happen to Sowore. A judge that tells lawyer to kneel down is a it a judge.

Meet (in)Justice Umar Muhammad, the Judicial Bandit terrorizing Omoyele Sowore . This bad egg was asked by Sowore's legal lead counsel on this matter, Barr. Abubakar Marshall to rescue himself on account of visible bias. He REFUSED and inturn, ordered Marshall to kneel down in

Justice Mohammed Umar is increasingly projecting the image of a judge more interested in punishing people based on some personal vendetta than protecting constitutional rights. The arbitrary exercise of judicial power against Omoyele Sowore raises profound concerns about judicial neutrality, due process, and the shrinking space for democratic opposition in Nigeria. This must not be swept under the.

@Youthinprocess @SaharaReporters After over two decades, perhaps it's also time to reflect on the results. Constant confrontation may generate headlines, but nation-building requires more than protests—it requires constructive engagement, policy ideas, and institutions.

It may be time for Sowore to channel more of his energy into civic education and voter participation. For over two decades, we have watched him consistently challenge those in power, often at great personal cost, including repeated arrests. While raising concerns is important, sustainable change also requires building a politically conscious electorate capable of translating grievances into electoral outcomes.

@EkeneAninze @SaharaReporters Funny how the "energy" of the DSS is the problem, but the daily energy spent attacking the agency is somehow acceptable. 😂 If allegations can be made publicly, why shouldn't the courts determine whether the legal response is justified? ⚖️

Ordinarily, I don't think this kind of case should be entertained in our courts when we have far more serious legal issues demanding urgent attention. I also do not feel that the level of energy DSS has invested in this matter is necessary. The law on this subject matter is clear and has long been settled. In Donald Duke v Global Excellence, the position of the law was clearly laid down. Where a President or Governor who enjoys constitutional immunity feels defamed, the proper thing to do is to sue the alleged defamer in a private capacity. In this instance, that would be as Bola Ahmed Tinubu suing Sowore, that is if the President feels he was actually defamed by Sowore, not by deploying DSS to initiate a criminal suit that many would see as an attempt to harass a citizen. It is even not proper for a President or Governor to resort to criminal charges simply because they feel defamed by citizens, especially when they are fully aware that a civil action is available and sufficient to determine the matter. History has already provided guidance on this issue. In 1982, when Chief Arthur Nwankwo, a gubernatorial candidate in Anambra State, authored and published a book titled How Jim Nwobodo Rules Anambra State, the publication was highly critical of the then Governor of Anambra State, Jim Nwobodo. The book accused Nwobodo of corrupt practices and maladministration. In response, Arthur Nwankwo was arrested and prosecuted for the offence of sedition. When the matter came to Court of Appeal, Hon. Justice D. P. C. Olatawura, JCA, made it abundantly clear that in a true democracy, citizens and the press must be free to criticize the government and its officials. He further stated that public officers "must learn how to develop a thick skin to public criticism." The principle established from that decision remains as relevant today as it was then. If a public official feels personally defamed or attacked by a publication, the proper remedy is to seek redress through a private civil suit for libel, not to utilize the machinery of the State to silence or suppress dissenting voices. What unsettles me most in this entire Sowore and DSS case is what happened yesterday. Sowore had already made an application asking the Judge to recuse himself from the matter over what he considers an unfair trial. Naturally, I thought the proper thing the court would have done was to first determine that application and rule on the motion before taking any further step in the proceedings. Instead, the bail earlier granted to him was revoked simply because Sowore was not in court. Whether right or wrong in law, that sequence of events raises questions in the minds of many observers. The beauty of justice should not be seen only through the lenses of the court and the learned. It must also be viewed from the perspective of the ordinary layman who may have no interest whatsoever in the matter, yet walks away satisfied that justice was not only done but was manifestly seen to have been done. That is what gives the judiciary its moral strength. That is what inspires public confidence. And that is what sustains democracy. I am Ekene Aninze Esq.

For those asking after me following the revocation of my bail, rest assured that this is just another chapter in the cyclical history of oppression. Like every chapter before it, and every one that will follow, it too shall come to naught. In the end, we will WIN. #RevolutionNow #Sowore2027

It's easy to trend on X; it's much harder to protect millions of people. Respect to those carrying that responsibility every day. 👏🇳🇬
Omoyele Sowore@sowore

It may be difficult for some compatriots to hear, but a nation governed by a leader @officialABAT involved drug-trafficking stands little chance of getting its moral compass right. When those at the very top set the tone, the institutions responsible for upholding integrity are inevitably shaped in that image. That is why officials such as @OfficialDSSNG Director-General Tosin Ajayi owe their loyalty not to the Nigerian people, but to the interests of the cartel. They should all be reminded, as we have repeatedly reminded public officials intoxicated by naked power, that no abuse of power lasts forever. A day of reckoning is always near. #RevolutionNow

@sowore @officialABAT Why is SOWORE dragging the name of someone that can ordinarily Arrest him but choose to uphold the principle of rule of Law by taking him to court? for your bail to be revoked, you must have violated certain condition... hence leave the DG alone and your case

@sowore @officialABAT You raise a critical point, @sowore. A leader's actions often reverberate throughout the entire governance structure. However, he who comes to equity must come with clean hands. So why are you flouting bail conditions and always wailing whenever anything is not in your favour😜😝
