No one can defend an election they never participated in. The real question is: how many times have we, as citizens, truly shown up at the polls? Many who are now 25, 30 or older have never voted, or perhaps only once, yet they strongly believe their votes don’t count. In truth, votes gain power when citizens participate in large numbers. @Youthinprocess @inecnigeria #INEC #SERAP #YIAGA #NYSC #ABUJA

Do you remember this Nigerian soldier that always go viral on the internet? He’s been dismissed by the Nigerian Army after being arrested for just saying Nigerian politicians should bring their children into the army to combat insurgency. 💔

We keep talking elections, but maybe he missed this: 20,000 registered voters at a particular polling unit, 82 showed up to vote, 14 stayed to verify results at polling unit, 2 followed to collation, while 19,918 monitored online. That’s how apathy wins repeatedly in the name of “my vote don’t count”. Get your PVC. Outrage that doesn’t reach the polling unit is just recycled noise.

It's a crime to speak up on the struggles of Nigerians, any form of protest is treated like a treasonable offense but this is a country where Freedom of speech is a fundermantal human right. What was his crime? Demanding the basic necessities; Water, and Light. This governor keeps making headlines for wrong reasons. It's a shame this is where we find ourselves. Arewa community needs to do better and start speaking up more. This is unacceptable!

Removing subsidy without accountability only repeats the same outcome as before. The difference now is that the direction of the money looting has changed, while citizens bear the burden. Get your PVC. Nigerians simply want free and fair elections to choose who shapes these policies.

"Some of APC's most h@ted policies actually make sense. Petrol price went up, and people are angry, but let's be honest; Subsidy was wasting trillions of naira every year. Removing it frees money for security. Critics only see the short term pay." - Lady insists

Same EFCC that cleared Abubakar Malami and recovered just one asset; same EFCC that couldn’t arraign Yahaya Bello; same EFCC that heard of missing funds at NNPC Limited and the power sector without arrests; same EFCC that knew of bandit sponsors yet took no action; same EFCC that handled the Aliko Dangote–Farouk Lawan case that still led to a resignation without consequences. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission increasingly looks like an embodiment of the very corruption it was meant to fight, a disappointment to many Nigerians. SHAME🇳🇬

@instablog9ja The real issue is that ignorance punishes everyone, even the educated. Like an okada rider struggling along a bad road, we all feel the impact, no matter how aware we are.

Nice numbers, but capital flows follow confidence, and confidence follows governance. Elections decide that chain. When votes are traded, filtered by tribe or faith, or skipped entirely, policy suffers quietly. Growth isn’t magic. Next time, show up informed and vote like it affects your wallet… because it does.

When salaries stall, strikes speak. But here’s the quiet truth, every election is a pay slip preview. Not tribal, not religious, just accountability. Apathy is expensive, vote-selling even more. If we don’t show up informed, others will show up strategic. Next ballot, vote like your salary depends on it.

Civil servants give FG Tuesday strike notice over withheld N70,000 wage allowance Tension is mounting across Nigeria’s public service as civil servants, under the umbrella of the Joint National Public Service Negotiating Council, JNPSNC, have issued a Tuesday, March 31 deadline to the Federal Government over the delayed payment of the 40 per cent peculiar allowance tied to the N70,000 minimum wage. The workers warned that failure to act before the deadline could trigger industrial action, raising fears of a nationwide disruption as frustration deepens among thousands of affected employees. vanguardngr.com/2026/03/civil-…

Nigerian politicians treat us like slaves because we sell our votes and voices for rice and peanuts just like our fathers did. Next year we’ll do it again, screaming tribalism as if light, roads, or progress give a damn about tribe. Pathetic! Nigeria is made up of mostly defeated people.
