@BulwarkOnline I despise Trump, but with Manchin and Sinema gone, Fetterman is my favorite Democrat. But I'm one of the very few supporters of actual liberal democracy left.

Doocy: "Would you consider backing Ron DeSantis for a cabinet job?" Fetterman: "It used to not be very controversial to absolutely vote for these kinds of people just because it happens to be the opposite party, you know. Right now our entire party's been defined by TDS."

Ukrainian drone sanctions have been very effective: Kremlin economists expect major GDP impact from lost oil revenue. Export capacity is dropping as refineries and ports burn, and production is next. As black smoke keeps rising, Russia's war machine income keeps dropping.🔥📉

Head of Russia's Central bank Nabiullina openly admits that there is a great shortage of labor in Russia: "we have never seen anything like this before, and it's affecting the entire economic situation." On the other hand, Putin said that unemployment rate in Russia is very low. These are the results of the war Putin started against Ukraine - hundreds of thousands killed and at the frontlines, hundreds of thousands more emigrated.
Anton Gerashchenko@Gerashchenko_en

Head of Russia's Central Bank: For the first time in modern history, Russia's economy has faced a labor shortage, and this is a new reality for the authorities and businesses. Speaking at the Moscow Exchange Forum, she said that external conditions continue to deteriorate on an almost regular basis, which applies to both exports and imports.

@MollyJongFast Republicans really think very little of their voter base. How does a ballroom make life more affordable for everyday citizens? Why elect people that are only in it for the wealthy? All the Trump admin has done is strip, strip, strip at the expense of public services. Disgraceful.

@Fed_Up_GenXer @BBCWorld Moderates decided elections and Poilievre doesn't appeal to the majority of them. Good luck thinking Conservatives will ever form government with him as leader, it will never happen with Carney as Liberal leader. Carney is far more centre and a lot of people actually like him.

How much are the liberals paying you to keep that narrative up? If you are not a card holding conservative then you don’t know we had moderates like Erin O’Toole who were liberals and we threw them out…..Pierre is not far right so give it up ……no real conservative would ever say carney is doing a good job so we know your full of shit and paid to write garbage like this

@Fed_Up_GenXer @BBCWorld When Poilievre is the alternate choice, Carney is an easy vote. When the Conservatives choose a new leader that is moderate and doesn't pander to the far right, then change could come. Carney is doing a far better job than Trudeau.

Canadian here and I can’t for the life of me understand where these polls are coming from …..Our media is completely out of control putting out puff piece after puff piece because carney pays their salaries and every Canadian I know thinks HES WORSE then Trudeau if that’s even possible ……Canadians need to understand Canada is not the victim here…..Canada has been HORRIBLE to the US on every level and we even broke the CUSMA agreement …..China has just as many tariffs on Canada and no one says anything about that ……Make no mistake….if Canada thinks the US will allow China to infiltrate Canada it’s going to get very ugly…..Trump did not cause Canadas economic situation …..the government that Canadians keep voting for over and over did

@DavidColetto I won't vote someone that panders to the far right in Poilievre. If the Conservatives had a moderate leader, then I would listen to their case.

On the most recent survey, asked a different question. How would you vote in a federal election if Donald Trump was no longer US President and a Democrat was President? LPC 44% CPC 36% NDP 8% BQ 6% Others 6% 90% of decided Canadians would vote for the same party they told me they would earlier in our core vote question. 90% of LPC voters would stick with the LPC.

@MaskedModerate1 @alleria_eh O'Toole would have beat Carney last election. Now that Carney has proven himself to be a sound moderate, Poilievre has no chance. Poilievre is nowhere close to centre where he needs to be to win. Moderates decide elections in Canada and he isn't one.

@alleria_eh No Poilievre can be faulted for relying on his base too much and not appealing to swing voters, but Fear of Trump, and appointing Carney after Trudeau finally acknowledged his unpopularity lost him the election. The NDP and Bloc lost voters, not the CPC.

@PetePeters_AB @gator_gum @mario4thenorth Moderate voters do not like Poilievre plain and simple. There is no chance the Conservatives will pull numbers like that again with Carney proving himself as a more moderate than Trudeau. Poilievre is heavily right wing and nowhere near to centre where he needs to be to win.

@PetePeters_AB @gator_gum @mario4thenorth It's not different with Pierre. The last election was mainly based on dissatisfaction with Trudeau combined with the Trump threat and the reason the Conservative turn out was as high as it was. O'Toole could have won it, not Poilievre. Canadian moderate voters decide elections.

Erin O'Toole just told Poilievre to moderate his policies. He forgets: moderation got him fired. O'Toole warned him not to "rely" on social media influencers. He forgets: he used them himself when he was leader. O'Toole wants Pierre to ignore culture war issues. He forgets: immigration and crime are the two biggest issues Canadians care about and Pierre owns both. O'Toole says mainstream media still matters more. He forgets: CTV anchors are now filming themselves on iPhones trying to copy the influencers they used to ignore. O'Toole says this approach can't win. He forgets: Poilievre just delivered the best Conservative showing in nearly 40 years. Not. Since. Mulroney. O'Toole, the moderate playbook had its chance. We live in a different time. If Pierre wanted your advice, I'm sure he'd call you and ask.
