It’s time to share something I’ve been working over the past 6 months.
After stepping down as Front’s CEO, I took a year off to recharge, and in the middle of the AI craze, I started thinking about a topic I’m passionate about, at the intersection of Kids, Mental Health, and Tech.
Today, parents, schools, governments have no visibility into how safe LLMs are for their kids. Their options are to open Pandora’s box, give it to the kids, and hope for the best; or to keep it out of reach and miss out on the opportunity.
To change that, I’ve been working on KORA: an independent, open-source benchmark and public leaderboard that evaluates how safe LLMs are for children and teens, by age group and risk type.
It’s a nonprofit initiative, led by @quentez and me, in partnership with leading academic research labs and child-safety experts.

@thejackhopkins Let’s not forget that Biden’s team agreed to these rules. It was on him to refute the firehose of lies directly. And he wasn’t able to.

Here's the takeaway from tonight: The United States of America allows convicted felons who have been charged with crimes against the United States to debate the President of the United States...and lie without being fact-checked.
To those of you in other countries around the world, I say this: I'm fucking embarrassed.

@dmandl Reads like a Tom Waits lyric to me.
I love all 3 of these -- Peter, Tom and Andy.

Was always intrigued by this song by the brilliant Peter Blegvad. What kind of voodoo/witchcraft is going on here? (Backing vocals/production by Andy Partridge.) youtu.be/dMvLOQI5CRka

Have you been witnessing the birth of some of the #Beatles' most iconic songs? My first article describes the mysterious way that music -- the perfume of our ears -- appears in the world. Curiously, for me it all started that same year, in England: 1969. link.medium.com/91gZAUPAylb

Just released this single -- a rendition of one of my favorite @17Hippies songs, #Adieu. It's a gorgeous song and I loved putting my own spin on it. Please enjoy.

@dmandl @NewYorker Also, why "ironic"? I'll grant you, it's less nauseating than the hideously overused "iconic," but, really...
English

Is it really @NewYorker style to use "boxed set"? I get the logic, but it looks weird and New Yorker-y. #Copyediting

English
@dmandl @NewYorker I'll forgive them everything if they could just stop with the fussy "reëlection"-type umlauting. Oy geëvolt.

@skypape Lovely urban garden!
PS: Viviane would probably say, "Be thankful you don't have gophers!"
English
@dmandl I also hate the opposite: people turning verbs (example: "here's my ask") into nouns!

Just released. 5 songs that trace the taste of hope, at the end of a dark winter. distrokid.com/hyperfollow/ma… (powered by @distrokid)
