When do we get to see who’s on Ukraine’s payroll? I bet there are some much bigger names than podcasters.

Hundreds of people have been arrested across Russia today for the crime of laying down flowers at a memorial for Alexei Navalny. But hey, at least the metro station in Moscow is nice.

Charles Lindbergh speaking in 1940: “I’ve been forced to the conclusion that we can’t win this war for England regardless of how much assistance we send” If Lindberg would’ve been listened to, there would’ve been a Nazi Europe from Lisbon to Vladivostok

@eoghan Listening to an interview is fine, but to form an opinion not affected by authoritarian propaganda I'd recommend a few books: The Future is History The Invention of Russia Nothing is True and Everything is Possible The Gates of Europe

I recommend that all thinking people have a listen to this interview. Even if you dislike Carlson (who does very little talking in it). His interviewee is quite sober, and the content is dense and specific. It provides important context for the world we live in.

Ep. 75 The national security state is the main driver of censorship and election interference in the United States. "What I’m describing is military rule," says Mike Benz. "It’s the inversion of democracy."

Thoughts on Putin's interview with Tucker Carlson: ◾️ Carlson wanted the interview to be a political sensation and an information breakthrough. But it turned out to be mediocre and unimpressive. There was no sensation. The conversation was boring, stretched out, with repetitions. ◾️ Tucker Carlson was virtually absent from the interview. There was no active manner of conducting the conversation. He looked completely superfluous. He was being used, and that's what it looked like. ◾️ For Carlson, this interview was a professional defeat. The meeting with Putin was not another stepping stone to the pinnacle of Tucker's journalistic and possibly political career. I think this interview will seriously damage his career. ◾️ In this conversation, Tucker Carlson became a simple tool, a transmitter of Putin's intrusive ideas to a broad American audience. It was done in a boring manner, without uncomfortable questions, and with a very strange reasoning. ◾️ This interview is propaganda from the leader of an aggressor country and a war criminal. It can't be called anything other than propaganda. This interview made Carlson himself an instrument of propaganda. Tucker Carlson understands this well and realizes how much he miscalculated. ◾️ Regarding Putin, it became obvious that this person is a psychopath in the direct, clinical sense. He lives in an absolutely fictional world of intrusive ideas. Analyzing his interview is analyzing madness.

⚡️ Putin said the Poles forced Hitler to attack them in 1939. Hitler just wanted to "realize his plans" and Poland was "uncooperative" and "forced" Hitler to attack and start World War II, Putin said. So, 1939, late August. Hitler: Poland, we want to annex you, agree! Poland: We don't agree, we are a sovereign state and will remain so. Hitler: You force me to conquer you by force. I declare war against you. God knows, it's your fault! And Putin says: Hitler had no choice but to start with Poland. What do you think of this interview, dear Polish followers?

Ps. Somebody should write a book about the 2010-2020 design tools era. So much happened and so many great companies rose to prominence only to eventually shed market share to one and only winner - Figma. Happy to co-author if somebody wants to take the lead :)

Back in the day InVision was UXPin's main competitor. Both companies fought for user attention with excellent content and aspired to improve designers' productivity and happiness with great products. The news of InVision shut down made me really sad and nostalgic.

Anyone who thinks Russia really wants peace should look at the images coming out of Ukraine. Putin doesnt want peace. He wants genocide. The people pressuring Ukraine to the negotiating table do not care about this because they wanna preserve their ideological purity.

Not seeking to prevent the Ukraine War by guaranteeing Ukrainian Neutrality was a blunder of epic proportions. Instead Biden stubbornly declared “I don’t accept anybody’s red lines.” Now the world is on fire and our stockpiles are heavily depleted.

What do Abkhazia (Georgia), Central African Republic, #Israel, Kosovo, Libya, Mali, Nagorno-Karabakh (Azerbaijan), Sudan, Syria, Transnistria (Moldova), & #Ukraine have in common? Violent conflict fueled by Russia.
