Topping off at Navy Lane! Last week, our Navy Lane project team in Nova Scotia marked an exciting milestone with the completion of the elevator roof slab pour on the 10th floor. To celebrate, the team gathered onsite for lunch from a local food truck, a group photo, and a chance to recognize the work that has brought the project to this stage. As we wrap up Safety and Health Week, we want to recognize the people who help make safety part of the way we work every day. Today, April 28, we observe the National Day of Mourning. Across Canada, this day is dedicated to remembering those who have lost their lives, suffered injury or illness, or experienced tragedy as a result of their work. This morning, our Director of Safety shared a message with our team, inviting employees and trade partners to pause for a moment of silence to honour those lives that have been lost or forever changed. In our industry, safety is a responsibility we carry every day, on every site, with every decision. Today is a reminder of why that matters. #DayOfMourning #SafetyFirst

Did you know yesterday was #WorldWhaleDay? 🐋 To celebrate, we’re highlighting this 75-foot blue whale skeleton in the atrium of MUN’s Core Science Facility - an awe-inspiring feature in a space we proudly built! The whale washed ashore in Bonne Bay, Newfoundland, in 2014. The atrium was designed and built to accommodate all 356 bones, with the full skeleton, including its 18-foot skull, suspended above visitors!

🎉 Exciting milestone! We’ve hit substantial completion on the new St. Joseph’s–Alexander McKay Elementary School (SJAM) in Halifax’s North End! The bright, modern learning space, built on the site of the previous SJAM building, has capacity for 515 pre-primary to Grade 6 students. A huge thank you to our incredible project team - Stantec, Dumac Energy Limited, Gordon Ratcliffe Landscape Architects, and all our trades - for their hard work, and to the Province of Nova Scotia, our client, for their collaboration!

Last week, the Brunello team held a Safety Stand Up, where we reinforced our commitment to safe practices on site. As the project advances, keeping our team safe in all conditions remains our top priority. At Marco, we know good work always starts with safe work. ✅
