Researchers sue 6x of the world’s biggest publishers: Elsevier, John Wiley & Sons, Sage Publications, Springer Nature, Taylor & Francis, and Wolters Kluwer. NEW: Today, I’m releasing a Surgeon General’s Advisory on the causal link between alcohol consumption and increased cancer risk. Alcohol is the 3rd leading preventable cause of cancer in the U.S., contributing to about 100,000 cancer cases and 20,000 cancer deaths each year.

Research by @LSHTM looked at the accuracy of information on 15 digital tools and apps created by alcohol-industry backed organisations in the UK and other countries, and found that many contain “blatant misinformation” and could push people to drink more. independent.co.uk/news/health/dr…
