@jaysonyork If a churchgoing Christian from 1960 walked into most evangelical rock-and-roll megachurches today, they’d be stunned by all that has been stripped away — the music, the aesthetics, the preaching, the reading of Scripture. All reduced to literal smoke and mirrors.

Unpopular pastoral opinion #4 Church is for Christians not unbelievers, for the edification of faith through the ministry of the word, sacraments and genuine fellowship It is not for evangelism or “seekers” Confusing these two things has been a huge L for the visible church

1. He is quoting a book called "The Lessons of History." 2. His point is that you have no choice but to oppose evil. You can call for moderation, but if someone is set on doing evil, he will unless opposed with force. 3. He believes that we are living in a historical moment that requires America, Israel, and European democracies to stand up for themselves. 4. This means forcefully opposing evil. I usually keep the sound off because sound annoys me. But Bibi is clearly being quoted out of context to gin up outrage.

@RealDonKeith There was only ever one good man. He allowed his enemies to kidnap him, torture him, and kill him. Then, he rose from the dead, ascended into heaven, where he sits at the right hand of the Father and from where he will return and reign forever. Our job is to follow his example.

I deleted my earlier repost of this because it was pointed out to me that Netanyahu was quoting an author, something the accounts reposting this clip fail to mention in an effort to make it appear as though these are Netanyahu’s own words. He’s actually making a good point along the lines of evil prevails when good men do nothing.

@seanmdav He chose the quote … because he agrees with it and went on to make the case for it.

@JoshuaBarzon Every church follows a liturgical calendar, whether they know it or not. Some of those calendars have nothing to do with historic Christianity, unfortunately.

@HelenLevinson The enthusiasm for Darren Bailey has collapsed. 158k fewer primary votes than in 2022. A 35% decline means he can’t even excite the base, much less independents and undecideds. He can’t raise money either. He’ll lose worse this time.

These IL GOP primary results by county say a lot. Dabrowski’s support came largely from Cook and Lake Counties, exactly where Republicans really need to compete. Instead, that path was split. Missed opportunities for both candidates here. What’s your take? Here’s mine, if Bailey hadn’t been in the race, Dabrowski likely could’ve consolidated those votes and changed the outcome. ipmnewsroom.org/illinois-prima…

This is the program director for a radio station that censored a story I broke about the Darren Bailey Campaign that probably will be a big story again now that Bailey is the nominee. Salem Media is now a penny stock, so they can't afford to break news and anger politicians that they need ti advertise on their non nielsen rated AM radio station.

@IllinoisRecord @am560 Yawn. You’re like Woodward and Bernstein with your investigative journalism. Very clever. Breaking the big stories. Why do you hide behind an anon account?

@marcusbrown With over 100 stations butba $17 million market cap.... that means the average Salem Radio station like yours is worth $170k. The average video game poker terminal in IL yields on average 190k a year..... Sounds like that idea could save @AM560TheAnswer

Our first post was done so secretly and still made politico. IR does not need 560 AM in the slightest to break stories and excited to return from our way too long hiatus! You must have never read any of our around 60 stories to be asking us to "do some journalism". A 560 Am article would bring your stock down from 50 cents to 15 cents. At the end of the day, I do want more conservative radio even though you have obvious case of TDS and produce hack content. The new DEIves and Amy Jacobson initiative is a snooze fest. I can't get thru the hour

@IllinoisRecord What money does Bailey have to spend on advertising? At the end of last year, he had $35,000 cash on hand, and he loaned his campaign over $300,000. No one is excited to give him money. Might as well light it on fire, at least you’ll stay warm.

True, not magic. Your Boss John Gallagher clarified the episode was not taken down for legal reasons.... but a "creative decision". Pink sheet penny stock salem media is obviously in trouble. You guys can't even afford to get on the Nielsen ratings. I think the decision was financial. Am560 will need Bailey's advertising dollars during the general election so you can continue to produce "rivoting" opinion shows where suburban boomers discuss taxes being high and crime being bad. #hacky

🚨 Illinois GOP has spoken. Darren Bailey wins the primary decisively: 53.5% (~298,844 votes) in a 4-way race 99 of 102 counties That’s not close—that’s a mandate. Downstate + rural voters showed up and delivered: America First, grassroots energy wins. Now it’s on to November. The reign of Pritzker must END! Finish the job.

@RINO_Removal Feels like holding a ticket on the Titanic. Bailey will have less money and less enthusiasm from the base than he did 4 years ago. The outcome won’t be any different. The Illinois GOP isn’t a viable institution.
