@AnthonyCJames None, so long as you're willing to do your own billing. For 5%, I'd keep them on Upwork forever, but that ship sailed long ago.

What’s the real benefit of keeping clients on Upwork after 2+ years? I have 2 clients at 2+ years, 1 more coming up soon. Upwork lets us go direct for $1... No more 10% cut! So… why stay on platform? I can’t think of any solid reasons. Lol

@ceteraIM @CeteraFinancial Listened to one of your advisors pitch my parents because of what color tie Trump was wearing and what signaled for gold prices. Seriously. Better put that puppy on a leash.

The Fed’s dual mandate of price stability and maximum employment is pulling in opposite directions. With cracks in the labor market emerging, a rate cut in September looks more likely. Read our latest Fed Monitor for more insights: cetera.com/fed-o-meter

@karagoucher Curious: do you think he was lying to you then? Or - do you think injuries and age make you reconsider what you will and won't do? A shame either way.

@AstorAaron Strange..... investors are seemingly comfortable that a company would invest $700M into a rebrand and then fold like a card table in 24 hours. THAT, more than anything, would cause me to question leadership. You either did your due diligence or you didn't.

@RyanDanz I dunno… pulling a move like that would make me wonder if I didn’t vet him hard enough in the first place.

We have been in the process of hiring and offering the most competitive comp package in our industry to a new C suite player. He has growth pegged at 2x in year 1, and 10x by year 5. But one week from his slated start date we get this email: "Hey Team, just a heads up im heading out to BurningMan and will need to push back my start date one week. I appreciate your patience as we work through this logistical update together. Will send pics as a reminder that work life balance is critical to success and rest assured, I will be completely drug free upon my return and ready to lock in." Offer pulled. When people show you who they are believe them.

I'll turn down any client requiring weekly calls and excessive reporting... I don't care how much the monthly retainer is! This is a waste of time! Lol

Just had someone hit me up on Linkedin offering me $10K to "use" my Upwork account. He's pitching it as a collaboration! 🤣

@AstorAaron Agree completely. But it’s a specific lifestyle that would bore anyone who likes eating out, culture, etc. But if the goal is home ownership, that’s an option for sure.

I'm only half-kidding when I say that if you really and truly want to buy a decent home that is affordable, you should be looking at rural or semi-rural PA - some places only about 2 hours from NYC, PGH, BAL, DC or NYC metro. If you WFH, not a bad idea...

My X feed is full of MAGA posting videos of sorority girls dancing in cowboy boots saying the left is coming unglued by these videos. Not in my feed: any reaction at all from the left. I do think, however, that these vids greatly overestimate the versatility of cowboy boots.

@butlers_choice_ @Upwork We’re the product, dude. Ford doesn’t email the Bronco for looking great. They just find ways to extract more value from it. Congrats, tho! It IS impressive, even if they don’t see it.

Isn't it interesting that @Upwork will send you an email when your job score drops but.... they never send an email when it goes up? Even more important would be when you hit 100% for 8 years straight like myself. Over 6,000 hours and still a perfect score. No email from Upwork saying - thank you or good job... Here's a T-shirt or a certificate ect.... What happend to the good old days when companies valued hard work? Employee of the month, or a watch for 10 years of service. ???? 🤔😏👏 #upwork #freelancers

@mitchellvii The answer is either because you’re too dim to understand or want to pretend you’re that dim. You pick.

Apparently jobs numbers for the last 2 months have been adjusted down 90%. I'm sorry, how does that happen where we have a certain amount of jobs and it's off by 90%? I mean who's counting these jobs and how do we know that the 90% decrease is correct?
