@NewReaganCaucus But if we're "WINNING IN UNPRECEDENTED WAYS!" as POTUS asserts, then you'd think there would be commendations, not firings.

@daily_msu Don't care. Want to beat both of them but can only play one of them. Can't stand either coaches but wish the best for X Booker, so I guess I'd want to see him again if I had to pick.

@JoshuaBarzon A sabbatical can be a wonderful thing for a pastor. It ought to have some goals--perhaps planning for the future, in-depth study, maybe time to do some sermon or Bible study prep, but also some time of rest, refreshment, spiritual nourishment. It's not a long paid vacation.

@Jon_8675309 @JoshuaBarzon That's why we have a policy that the pastor can't leave for 2 years without paying back the costs of sabbatical. I've had 3 sabbaticals and am at same church now 24 years.

@JoshuaBarzon I’ve never seen a pastor come back from sabbatical refreshed in a meaningful way. My experience is that a sabbatical is more like the beginning of a job search.

@JoshuaBarzon Yes! I preach 48 times a year so I'm not sure what some of these other people are saying about missing 8-12 weeks/year. I get one every 7 years for 8 weeks. It's help keep my physically and spiritually healthy and a reason I've been in the same congregation for 24 years.

I don't love it. I'm actually considerably less tolerant of loud kids in public now than I was before I had my own. Your children should not be allowed to disrupt a church service, or any other public gathering. If they're being unruly, remove them. If they're old enough to know better, take them out and discipline them. If they're too young to control themselves, then again remove them. I've had to do this many times in many situations. It blows my mind when parents just sit there and let their kids totally disrupt and irritate an entire room full of strangers.

I love this so much -- a church's loud kid policy:

Good morning Kentucky ☀️ Welcome to your Friday WOKE Up Report! So, what do Fake @NateMorris and Tampon Tim Walz have in common? A lot more than you think! They both ❤️ BLM ✊🏿, the LGBTQIA+ movement, and opposed President Trump in 2024.

@RepAndyBarr Gorsuch and Roberts strongly suggesting that if Trump had only done what Nixon did (temporary tariffs at consistent, capped rates) SCOTUS wouldn't have taken the case. It was his madman routine of making up crazy new tax rates every morning that doomed him.

I fully support President Trump’s decision to reinstate tariffs. We cannot stand by while SCOTUS undermines the America First trade agenda. Here in #KY06, Apple didn’t just expand because of Trump’s strategy—they moved 100% of iPhone glass production from China and other Asian countries to our District. Presidents Reagan, Bush, Obama, and Biden all used tariffs. It’s time to end the double standards against Trump. I will stand with our President and protect American workers.
Rapid Response 47@RapidResponse47

.@POTUS: "Effective immediately, all national security tariffs under Section 232 and existing Section 301 tariffs remain in place... Today, I will sign an order to impose a 10% global tariff under Section 122 over and above our normal tariffs already being charged."

No one can deny that the President’s use of tariffs has brought in billions of dollars and created immense leverage for America’s trade strategy and for securing strong, reciprocal America-first trade agreements with countries that had been taking advantage of American workers for decades. Congress and the Administration will determine the best path forward in the coming weeks.

Racist. Deranged. Humiliating to our country. The fact that we have decided to pretend to this is normal every day is a moral abomination. Have we any shame? And every day an entire generation is being told it is “Christian” to support this. God have mercy on us.
