Who doesn't love a lap or 2?! First run of 2021 and even though it was raining and I had to wear a mask I think I'll give this an 8/10. Marked down due to getting sore toes and some sweaty chaffing going on 😁

@lordtimfry @marathontalk sadly not as the segment is too small to properly register it seems!

@JamesMcCrazy15 @tim_grose @TomMarshall1500 @thepowerof10_ yeah just the bottom one. What a fitting way to spend New year's Eve 2020 🎇 😳
English

@tim_grose @marders @TomMarshall1500 @thepowerof10_ Pretty sure the one at the bottom probably is, looks like he's done dog assisted before.

@russell_runner @JamesBowler1 @runningelliot @mjalava @TimHutchings1 geez to think I ran (or slipped?) a 217 in Mizuno Wave Sonic that year!! Oh what a pb I could have otherwise been celebrating 😭

@sturdyAlex Kent must surely now be on track to be the dogging capital of the world now too 🤣
English

@JamesBowler1 @CGreeny_11 not to mention the word c*nt, I mean Kent 😂
English

@TimHutchings1 there's often a discrepancy in qualifying standards (look at IAAF points tables) that are brought about due to lower overall participation resulting in easier standards. Obviously still bloody hard standards and takes a certain athlete to achieve!
English

@TimHutchings1 what are your thoughts on eg Olympic qualifying where you need to be top ~20/40? Take 5k vs Pole Vault. Is the 1000th ranked 5k guy "better" than 50th ranked pole vault for example? I should consult top lists to give better numbers but you get the picture!
English

My admiration roughly correlates with how many people are exposed to participation in a Sport, and so how tough it is to get to the top of it. Rowing? Numerically tiny. Motor-racing Driver? Tiny again, & even more selective as entry thru Karting, is SO expensive...

@marders No! It’s dropping low 5’s with a go-pro to drop Paula Radcliffe in a Spider-Man suit that’s makes you a ledge
👌

@markhookway haha to be fair anything parkrun/5k/10k/half/marathon will be more well known over 800! Did you tell them I broke 2 mins for 800 off marathon training after not being able to as a teenager with 52s 400 speed 😂
English
@marders Paul - we were having a group chat and a couple of us were trying to explain your credentials to a couple of 800m boys. Hope you win the vote 🙄
English

Do I have an advantage with a more unique surname 🧐And can I vote for myself 😇

Runners fraternity please settle an argument. Who is the best known athlete of the three ?
