The ‘male loneliness epidemic’ is another form of men complaining when women don’t do everything for them. These types of men expect women to lead them, to build the relationship on her own, to never ask for anything and just be happy that he exists around her, but to also pretend that he’s a strong, providing leader so that he feels like a man. They expect women to have endless empathy for men at all times while they express zero empathy themselves. It’s not a male ‘loneliness’ epidemic, it’s a male ‘I’m too lazy to put work, effort and emotional labor into building a relationship with a woman that benefits both of us’ epidemic. Women aren’t the ones who failed these men. Men failed these men and men need to step up, take accountability, and be the ones who fix it.
