@walkplanknow @zzSapphire The glitch happens when the TC item object is destroyed by another player while you have it. The TC boost effect is not properly cleared when this happens.

On 04/08/2024 at 6:30 PM EST, @marioiscool246 and I deployed 2 bots in an attempt to keep the last lobby on Nintendo Network alive. With a patch that kept us from disconnecting, we raced for over a month until Gears froze yesterday. Here is the beginning of the entire session.

Thanks to the work of @jacanapes_ and @marioiscool246 power sliding in GameCube Grand Prix now works and looks like it does in Mario Kart: Double Dash!! With new textures for the yellow, and red sparks made by @NYAN64_WS

@zenithvx uh no, that's not "explode", that's "ent_create npc_handgrenade" 🤓

@LF_MrL314 Will the game start reading garbage for items outside of the normal ones and do interesting things or will it just crash?
English

@LF_MrL314 Oh I didn't know that! In mk7, the ability to quick stop the roulette is determined by how much time the roulette has been spinning. I think it's the same in other ones too.
English

Super Mario Kart may not have Fake Item Boxes, but the Item Roulette sure isn't telling the truth either!
Check out today's Pit Stop!, where I discuss briefly how the Item Roulette effect works in Super Mario Kart!

@LF_MrL314 The quick stop gimmick is indeed present on the later gamea although with some caveats when playing online.
mkds has it completely disabled,
mkw to mk8d does some calculations to see if you can receive that item and while thay period is active, quick stop is disabled.
English

@marioiscool246 Ahh good to know! Thank you for that! I figured it would probably be the same in later games, since there’s really no need to do it differently, but good to have actual confirmation of that. Do the later ones also have the gimmick of quick-use as well, or is that SMK only?
English

@CrazyWeeMonkey you could have all the ram in the world and tf2 will still only use 4 GB of ram since it's 32 bit
English

@JonComms None of them, they're not true battle courses.

@SimonOrtizBrian @XX_750000 Judging by the title id, it's CTRAging
