A nice day out at Minsmere today, a good selection of birds and insects, this lovely male Red-backed Shrike was the highlight for me . @RSPBMinsmere

@AdrianBorley A bit surprised you haven’t caught up with one before in Northants or Norfolk. Just a matter of right time and place.

Back from a great weekend in Yorkshire. The Pallid Swift showed well at times 😀@FlamboroughBird. Also Red-headed Bunting, Two-barred, Dusky, Pallas's, Yellow-browed Warblers. Plenty of common migrants about, like this tired Goldcrest.

@loosemum @Britnatureguide @Natures_Voice Hi Sharon, lovely photos. 👍 The gull pictured is a young Black-headed. Gulls are quite a challenge! The white leading edge to the upper wing is a good id point for BHG. 😀

Ruddy Shelduck, Redshank and a poor shot of what I think is a Little gull ? Also lots of Terns including juveniles. Hollowell reservoir 24/7/23 #Northantsbirds @Britnatureguide @Natures_Voice

Well done to @Northampton_TC. Some patches of grass have been left un-mown and I spotted this pyramidal orchid growing in one small patch on the junction of Fullingdale/Dryland roads. #NoMowMay #LetItBloomJune
